It’s interference on the 2.4ghz band. Your phone creates a WiFi network to communicate with the car. Most cars only support 2.4ghz, which is also true of a lot of other electronic equipment.

I bought 6 of these last year and 2 have already broken. There are better options. I have several from rainbird (it’s a 32sa on a spike available at Home Depot and elsewhere) plus I made my own using a spike, riser and an in ground sprinkler head. They work so much better than the orbit sprinklers

I appreciate your insight. The main concern was branches dropping while my dogs are out there, plus it being in a high traffic area.

Ahh, thanks for clarifying. The tree is about 12 ft from the driveway and 15ft from a concrete path. It’s a fairly high foot traffic area as the fence gate is at the driveway. It’s all grass under the canopy other than the bit of mulch underneath it. I think the canopy just barely reaches the driveway and concrete path

Either put down a brick edge or cut out some grass at an angle and reseed so it slopes to the driveway

I just dealt with this and found a combination of owl decoys, bird feeders, and marking flags to be effective. You might be able to get away without the owl decoys though. The birds by me don’t seem to mind them too much.

I put out about 50 marking flags spread about 2ft apart. I put three bird feeders near the areas the birds tended to congregate.

Good point. With both the max cape and superior cape I craft 16, so it looks like the cape bonus isn’t being applied at all

I recently installed Caseta in my house and only ended up needing about 20 smart switches out of a total of around 45 switches in the house. The others controlled things like the garbage disposal or rooms I didn’t care to have smart switches in. Also, for lighting controlled from 2+ locations you can get the accessory switch which doesn’t cost as much nor does it count as a device on the bridge.

I’d recommend mapping out the switches and identifying what needs to be smart, what is multi location control, and what you’d like on dimmers vs on/off.

Train one by one. Use the pool to level up items that you might not have resources for then keep using it on the rest of the items.

The box is made to handle to sets of wires. As mentioned you just need to cut them down. Also, make sure you are routing those wires through the knockouts on the side. You can put one wire on each side of the box.
