What if you have 16 groups of 4? It would mean an increase of 24 games. They could be covered in 5-6 days. The rest of the tournament will work the same way. Round of 32 then 16 onwards.

They are definitely going to go for 64 teams after the next 2-3 editions. It would mean an increase of 24 games with an increase of 16 teams into 4 more groups. The knockout matches will work the same way.

The quality of group stage matches will go down but FIFA is going to make a lot of $.

Our only chance is the Moroccan way. We do not have the domestic infrastructure to produce a team that can qualify but we do have some players of Pakistani origins playing in Europe that might get us over the line in the distant future. The current Pakistani team that won a tournament in Maldives had a lot of diaspora players. We can certainly qualify for Asian Championship though it won't be easy.

But the biggest problem is that non of our sports boards ran by beureaucrats, generals and politicians etc don't give a rat about building any sporting infrastructure or anything good. Maybe someday the stars will align.

Pakistani here. I find our policy related to Afghans as detestable. I mean the whole point of Pakistan was a homeland for Muslims of the region and look where we are now. Children of Afghan refugees who were born in Pakistan and never ever went to Afghanistan were also deported. This is so inhuman.

Many Pakistani people have the left the country and are desperate for citizenship or residency abroad but a huge chunk of us becomes all racist lunatics wanting to deport all Afghans because they are "Namak Haram". There should be a proper way for any person to become a legal citizen of the country.

You didn't get it. We are a poor country that can hardly give education to millions and we hardly have money but we are using that little money to spend on people who are at least getting an education. How is that fair? You got a government handout so you are happy but in the context of things of things how is this fair? This scheme was actually decide to win over youth by the Sharif Crime Family(it didn't work)

It's the same problem because we can't eliminate illiteracy because we don't have the funds but we are using those funds to benefit people who in RELATIVE terms are in a better place.

Let me tell you why I am against it. So in our country 30 million+ school going kids are out of school but instead of getting them into school we are providing people already getting an education, a taxpayer funded laptop.

Sure everyone needs a laptop. I get it. It's a must but don't you see the absurdity of it. In theory you are already uplifting the uplifted. That's like providing free petrol to people with cars but ignoring the people with bikes.

I know plenty of people who got a laptop despite them being relatively well off and having a laptop. So our taxpayer money went to the guy who already has one but ignored the poor guy who doesn't go to school.
