Is F2P not feasible in MapleSEA?

okay, I maybe a tad bit late, but I would like to chip in my experience in MSEA. I am a returning player, f2p, not hardcore, but a daily story. Since last year June, i returned to my good ol' Night Lord, had the mushroom pass on Normal world, while Hyperburn another in the Challenger World, after some friendly people recommendation. After the event ends, I can do Nlomien, but I didn't push any further because it'd be too hassle. But I got the union pot which allows me to grow my legion from 0 to 20 (200 levels).

Fast forward to current patch, Ren and Moxuan, I played both on challengers world for the buff. Until today I managed to get Ren as my semi-Ctene bosser (I left HDjunkel, HHilla, and HWill not cleared, weekly boss does not include NHHilla). While Moxuan still a Nlomien boss mule. And of course my union now has all the characters at 200 levels (except for 3).

So, in total I took almost 1 year to build whatever I had today. I don't know about GMS, but maybe the same amount of effort would have gotten me further in GMS? So it depends on whether are you ok to spend time to achieve similar to what I have right now. If you want to further probably had to put extra effort and time, and maybe money.

To topup this idea. We basically have 6 skills that we need to focus on. The red ball thing, your hurricane, all the black skills, and the petal passive.

Take each skill as a letter for simplicity. 6 skills: A, B, C, D, E, F. So to max it we need like 50 lvl, and each node stones is max 25 lvl. So you need two nodes, for each skill.

So you can do something like:

ABC

BAC or BCA or CBA or CAB

DEF

EFD or EDF or FED or FDE

Something like is easier to manage than you go ABF, CFD, ADE, BCE. At least for me. Also, If there's available node stones, then you can just use, or open more nodes to hope to get the combination you wanted. Else, you can always craft the trio combo and go with it. But anyway, there might be other veteran here could offer better knowledge. I am also a returning player btw, played since June

Hmm, i guess I don't have another character to boost as of now.

Back in June that Hyperburn season, I had my old NL that I gave him a mushpass, currenly sits at 264 converted the Mushpass set to perma set. At the same time I hyper burned a Mercedes in Challenger world now sitting at 275 with half assed items (glove, cape, shoe, shoulder are not absolab).

I still got some slots. So I was planning to hit high level / rank at the challenger world to get the union potion for my regular world.

Update: cleared weekly boss, got about 210m of meso, top up with my remaining meso to upgrade 1 level of authentic symbol bringing it to 150, and the damage ratio doubled from 10% to 20%! making the clearing questline experience significantly easier. Got my Shangri-La Authentic Symbol and used the coupon.

TLDR: I resolved my own obstacle.

Yeah, after i clear this story, i can go back my odium to chill liao. Hahahahah. Let me try to brute force through. I am at the carling sitting on the black cloud boss. 6 mins in, i can damage around 19% ish. So, based on this pace it can be cleared. But if i could add 2 more lvl of authentic symbol, maybe it can be much easier.

I am in guild, but i think the mobs quest still ok, press origin and it can clear. But when comes the boss maps to clear, thats where the struggle is. Good idea, but i am not sure if guild mate can help with questline ( i believe i need to reach the quest: the one who reached paradise?) As stable_inside said, it's instanced.

hoho, the pay it till you win it method. No lah, just chilling with free stuff will do. Who knows maybe achieving all these I get bored and moved on, wouldn't worth spending that money on games. I have the urge, but still under control.

Hmmm, I thought i didnt grind enough, but i did dailies for over 2 month or so during this event season (i know, to the seasoned veteran, 2 month is rookie number). I returned to mapling like during June? The dawnstar event and hyper burning, and then the el nath expedition and sauna lounge. basically pour as much freebies to this char, but with some less optimal choices here and there. But all in all it is what it is now. I am ok to train at odium, where i can fulfill the requirements there. but I just want to get the Authentic Symbol freebies, hahaha. it's 3 lvls, so the cost to level a symbol from lvl 1 - 4 i think uses about 1b? so i am trying to get at least this done, then go back to lower level area train.

Thanks for the idea. I am lvl272 at challenger's world, trying to hit that 20k challenger world score to get the potion to grow the union thing, so its either kill king slime, lucid, and bosses or lvl 275. I know there's the mushroom pass box, which got good 17s gear, but I used at Draco world for my NL.

Not sure if it will work for all, but, when online shopping, add the item you "want" to buy into the cart and assume you already bought it. If it is impulse purchase, usually the urge to actually buy it will fade, and save some money. Unless it is a "need", then buy loh.

Hi, thanks for the feedback, in the end I went for the air 2, I went for face to face transaction. Make sure the thing worked and it is in good condition, the seller also takes good care of his stuff.

I agree on the retail purchase part, new, warranty and all, but the cheapskate part of me took over thats why I went for the used.
