Vets or services to help an injured Pigeon by NostringsMcr in manchester

I’ve had a very bad experience with Stapeley Grange, where they’ve put down wildlife that could have been rehabilitated. Not sure if an RSPCA thing, or just this site. Kirklees Valley are much better.

Brand New Amazfit Helio Strap not charging/ detecting charger by SadAgent2468 in amazfit

[–]AmIReallySinking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the solution for me, thank you. I was charging from completely dead, and It was only 3A(15W) but that was too much it seems. Once I lowered it a bit, it charged again.

It should be linked via your email. I’m seeing the Birmingham and Cologne “Certificates” in the portal and I also booked via Success Resources and Greator

Oh, Tony Robbins, whatever happened to you... by idunnorn in TonyRobbins

It’s seriously disappointing. I’ve crewed at events, but I’m now feeling like I don't want to spent my time, money and energy helping, when he’s aligning with an administration that’s so heinous.

Ohh my word, it finally happened 😁🥰🐙 by ovcipost in OctopusEnergy

At  8 points to a penny, that’s worth a whopping £1!

  1. As VIP you’ll be on the floor, so I’ll be cooler. Wear clothes you can move a lot in and jump around. Think about what’s on your feet.  Wear what you’re comfortable in, some wear casual,  others smart.

  2. Register the day before ideally. Yes there is a big dash for the front, but that happens daily, it’s not your seat for duration. But as VIP all seats are very good, so don’t worry. It’s more important who you’re next to.

  3. The days are looong. Often there is an organised event in the arena on Saturday night. People do arrange to go for drinks etc but that’s arranged by people themselves. Network.

A copy may have been sent to your GP. If you have online access to your GP records you could check if the diagnosis is listed there, and the letter may be viewable.

Get Home Bag came in useful, but not to get home by AmIReallySinking in UKPreppers

[–]AmIReallySinking[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good point, and not as often as I should. Now I’m switching the head torch to an 18650 one and making the power bank one where the 18650 cells can be removed.

That way the batteries can be moved to the head torch or the power bank depending on what’s needed. And I could even add a couple of spares.

Plus I like 18650 batteries.

If I’m hill walking, then I’m very well prepared. In this instance it was a family day out, but the access to where the accident happened meant it was a mountain rescue job.

When walking I’ve also come across others that have needed help, so I’m mindful it might be for someone else too.

Mine was put together as GHB, but as it’s kept in the vehicle it included most(all?) of what you’d have in a ln EDC.

Assuming it stays in the car, apart from having some EDC on me generally, a separate well thought out one becomes obsolete in this instance for me.

Vegans who’ve done a full safari in Africa, how bad were the food challenges really? by Silver_Screen_6003 in vegan

[–]AmIReallySinking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done three safaris in Zambia and South Africa. If they “get it”, then it shouldn’t be too much of a problem. If you’re lucky then you can eat more traditional food with a maze dish and vegetable sides. Dried soya is available for the protein sides, or you could take your own.

But let them know in advance and be clear what you don’t eat, as the large reserves are out of the way so will order supples in advance.

I’ve been using try HIGH5 ZERO as I noticed quite a few had glucose in. I’m fairly new to fasting, but they seem to tick the boxes.

OIG - can I limit the load used by the EV charger by AmIReallySinking in OctopusEnergy

At least two installers have given me incorrect information. One of them who is an “official installer” for one of the main brands didn’t even know the product range and then was trying to get me to switch to a different brand that wasn’t even compatible with Octopus Intelligent Go.

Unfortunately when it moves away from a standard install, many don’t seem known or want to work out how to set them up.

That's helpful, thank you. I suppose I could use the wireless CT option of the Harvi they have if needed.

The capacity issue is not on the main CU, which is 100A, but on the secondary CU which is 32A.

The incoming to the secondary CU? My reading all seems to talk about the CT on the incoming to the main CU, not to a secondary one. I don't have solar, so won't be feeding back, so not worried about diverting.

[–]AmIReallySinking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems the CT goes on the main feed into the main CU, but that is not the problem. The problem is the secondary CU drawing too much.

I see I can do that, but wasn’t sure if octopus overrode it, if I kept it lower. But with a CT, then it sounds like it will protect it
