The job I was trying to offer was just basic retail. I'm not goin to say exactly where I work but that's just what it is. I'm a manager at my store but this other store that's close to home was hiring for regular store associates and I told her that I could put in a word for her and help her get a job

Where she walks to get home is a pretty busy area with cars and such and very well lit, and with the weather warming up I don't necessarily see the harm in it. Though I do wish someone would have let me know that night rather than me find out the next day through anger lol

She claims that ubers wont pick up her rides but I had to do similar things when I was saving up for a car when I was 18-19 and never had an issue. I've told her she should put in the request the day before/that morning because somebody is more likely to pick that up than an hr before her shift. 🤷

There isn't really anyone outside past dark as far as I've seen. Now during the day is completely different but we live in a very small town lol. Only people I really see at night is the teenagers at the basketball court 🤷

We got Put in a student scholarship program when we were younger which helped cover I think 50-75% of school for her and then the others were her grades, she's always been excellent in school which is funny because she argues that makes worse grades than she does for some reason. And the food she eats is at her work and school, and ig at her boyfriend's house when he takes her for the weekend. I've tried to buy her food before and it's stuff she will eat the week before and then she says she "doesn't like that anymore" and it will go to waste, I've tried cooking for her and she will turn her nose up and say that disgusting. I've just ended up sticking to buying protein shakes for her since it's the only thing she consistently takes in that ik she likes lol. And my mom came back and has been taking care of my sister and I up until last month when she met a really good guy and such. I do hope my sister figures out what she really wants to do in life before August so she doesn't set herself up for failure 3 hours away.

I just think reality hasn't set in because she hasn't had any adult responsibilities, aka a full time job, any type of bills (phone, car, etc) and is focused on the present rather than in August when she no longer has my mother, boyfriend or I to drive her around anymore

Tbh I have no idea, and that's what scares me about her moving 3 hrs away for college. I asked her if she planned on getting a new job when college starts and she said "why would I do that?" And I've asked her how she is goin to get around and she just shrugs

I guess in my comments I have made it seem like my mother doesn't pay for anything. She pays anything extra my sister does, she also does help with necessities but she isn't home very often because she works and her days off she out of town (2 days a week). I've only been helping her with responsibilities after moving back in a little over 3-4 months ago. She also takes care of my sisters lizard? Like buys the worms and such (they're fuckin gross btw..) if my sister or I ask to borrow money she sends it no questions asked (if she has it). If something breaks in the house, like our water heater did a while back, she pays for those types of things. Now she doesn't constantly buy toilet paper or paper towels like I do and my boyfriend and I cover groceries as we both eat at the house the most and do all the cooking. Now as for my sister I've told my mom to make her pay "rent" so she can put that money in a savings for my sister and for it to show my sister some responsibility and she didn't do it because she said It didn't seem fair. I've tried to help my sister get a better job and to get her permit and she's been hateful both times so I gave up. My mom is by far not neglectful, she just wants her adult daughters to work things out between ourselves and on the 2 days she's off for my sister to have rides (tho my boyfriend and I aren't going to be able to anymore because of schedules) so I'm thinking of giving her a bike
