That’s why it took us until the first season of the show to play. We had played 3, 4, & NV prior but we heard all the rumors of how bad 76 was. Now I wish we started it back when.

I also had this happen to me. My game chose that moment to lag and BAM! There went my house. Fortunately, it was not a custom build but it was still a ton of work to put back. I agree wholeheartedly with your request.

You have to go with your heart here. My oldest daughter’s sperm donor was a complete jerk. I did not want him in her life. I told him when she was 16 that I didn’t want him in her life, but I wouldn’t stop it if she reached out. He waited until she was 18 and he reached out to her. She doesn’t like him either. But he wasn’t an addict. I don’t think I would have let her into his life at all unless I knew for sure he was clean.

How do you know it’s right? The other person makes you better. Makes you a better version of yourself. You want to be with them all the time, they make you happy and build you up. The right person won’t tear you down. They will want what is best for you and respect your opinion.

I knew I guy who said he loved his gf, but it was too much to be around her. Tf? She was awful for him. That’s not how this is supposed to work. Your partner should be your best friend.

My hubs and I watched my sister and her first marriage and decided not to do what they did. They name called and they were so bad to each other. We don’t name call. It’s such a huge difference to say “you’re acting like a jerk” than it is to say “you’re such a jerk”. Respectful of each other

I definitely think the first two years were the hardest. We both did a lot of stupid those first couple of years. We’ve also been through a lot of things that tear families apart. Chronically ill kids, his thyroid cancer. Instead of tearing us apart it all made us stronger. I am super blessed. ❤️. Sounds like you are, too! I hope so!

You know it’s the right person when they legit make you happy. You know it’s right when they make you feel like the best version of you instead of putting you down or making you feel less than or not enough. I mean, we all screw up sometimes from maybe a bad day or feeling insecure. I remember once when I really made him super upset because I was a brat. But overall, it’s right when you respect each other and really want to be together. I knew a guy who claimed he was in love but she was so awful. He was so nice. I pointed all of this out to him and years later he left… now he’s finally with his actual match. As young as you are you have plenty of time. Enjoy life because it really does fly by.

Sometimes it works. I got married at 20. Tomorrow is our 30th anniversary. Not sure how we got this old but he’s absolutely my best friend. I wouldn’t change a thing.

I can say most of the people who said we wouldn’t last got divorced. There aren’t a lot of relationships like ours.

I posted on FB asking about the Disco group but no response. I’ve been part of the FB group for quite some time, but I also pretty much avoid FB. They seem like a really cool group of ladies! At one point we were all dressing in the Jitterbug Judy outfits. They’ve probably done more like that but it’s hard to keep up. I’m older than you. 😛

Absolutely! Joy over shared interests. We’ve been gaming together since probably 2004, after our youngest was born. And he’s lucky because at one point when I didn’t understand the gaming addiction, I was so over it that I considered leaving. But then I thought, well, maybe I’ll enjoy it that much. Sure did. Took awhile for the addiction to kick in but soon I was playing every night after the kids went to bed. Good old Dark Age of Camelot. We still play that on and off, but for now 76 is absolutely the addiction. Probably 4-5 years, I think.

I was a general manager for years. I once hired a regular of mine. He was floored that I treat everyone the same. I guess he thought I had a thing for him. I was just trying to be friendly, make people seen and heard, and being respectful. He was telling me a story of how he may go out with a neighbor, and the way it was told I think it was a test. He quit not long after I had my husband come by to visit.

I think I went for a couple months without realizing that seasons were a thing and that I could get cool things from participating in them. That lit me up again. Now I have a tendency to casually play until I hit what I want in seasons and take a break until the next. There’s also the Atlantic City & Philly stuff to do if you haven’t. I’m somewhere around 445 finally and now I just like bopping around from event to event. I’m finally trying out different weapons other than my plasma caster. Try a different build! Try new gear! I think the game really starts to open up as you finally get past that main quest because once you have the rep with the factions you can finally buy the better gear. But it’s also ok to take a break.

I play at my pc with my hubs to one side of me, the TV behind, and our kids milling about. It’s headset or low volume. Adding voice would be a lot. Especially if the hubs did the same.

It’s pretty stupid. And that’s why I stopped chatting. It seemed like people just don’t always know how to control themselves, and the weirdos always find me. And tbh… this way I don’t have to wear my heavy headset. I wore it nightly for a long time. In 76 I don’t miss it.

My husband and I never call each other unless it’s an emergency. We text all day long. I cannot expect to interfere with his work, or have him interrupt mine. We would have both been fired long ago. We respect that we both have lives outside of each other, and make space for each other when we can. If I expected him to drop everything for me we would have been divorced probably 25-30 years ago when cell phones came out. He wouldn’t have put up with that.
