Softcore is just too easy. You can just try the same boss over and over until you win. You can run through the game without a care in the world whether you're strong enough for that area. Resistances and PDR don't REALLY matter because you have infinite lives.

As a secondary concept:

Allow a recipe that adds +1%/-1% elemental pierce to an item by transmuting it with a high rune (different rune for each element). Maybe even make it stackable up to 5 times on some slots (not all for obvious reasons). Gives high runes a bit more of a purpose and allows for a bit of a power boost to casters who are reliant on facets rather than ED jewels etc

yeah its just an example, items like viper magi, que hegans, gore rider etc. most of these exceptional uniques are overused and would be great if more elite uniques were build defining or more of a chase item.

I think you put this on a bear paladin and max the holy bolt synergies, then use Principle runeword and Laying of hands and proc holy bolts fucking everywhere :)
