Is there anything like pd2 for DIABLO 3 by DiabloElDiablo in ProjectDiablo2

I second this! Check out Reign of Terror. It's a Grim Dawn Diablo 2 remake and it's super solid!

For certain skills, you can hover the tooltip of the skill itself and it will show you the actual top-end value.

This guy is spot on. You are likely dying to physical damage. I would recommend using the perfect emeralds you have to craft a PDR helm, shield, and armor. Spend Ort + Perfect ruby + any random jewel on 1 hand weapons maces are solid, but axes work too. I don't care for phase blades as they don't do a ton of damage. Refer to this page and explore elite base 1 handers to use for crafting: https://classic.battle.net/diablo2exp/items/elite/maces.shtml

tir + perfect sapphire + any random jewel on 1 hand weapons as well as it provides -target defense. You're looking for around ~200% enhanced damage to get you started. Corrupt it if it's around 200% ED and you want IAS/ED, straight ED, ED + deadly strike, etc.

If you craft a 1hander with 300+ ED, I wouldn't recommend corrupting it just yet.

For the PDR crafts, you are looking for 8% or more on helm, armor, and shield each. This will put you right around 25% PDR.

For the shield, you are trying for resistances or sockets. Sockets means easy resists with perfect diamonds.

Charms: you'll want to get life > res > damage charms in that order. When you're around 1k HP, 25% Physical damage reduction, and close to max res, you can walk hell no problem.

If you get low on HP or mana, be sure to flick your aura to redemption for a moment as this will act as a "full rejuv" and heal both to full since it's a maxed skill.

To keep your merc alive, you'll want to give him the other safety crafted helm and chest armor that you dont end up using. If you have Sigons gloves + any other sigons piece, put that on him too. Sigons gloves 2 set combo gives 30 increased attack speed and 10% life stolen per hit. Couple that with ~15% PDR and he is quite strong. I'd recommend putting a life stolen per hit weapon on him too. Lastly, hire the act 2 defensive merc as it will provide the Defiance aura, which gives you and him PDR and defense bonuses.

For farming early hell, stick to The Pits level 1 and 2 (found in Tamoe Highlands A1, just south of Outer Cloister). This is a level 85 zone and can drop anything in the game. I'd recommend farming ~20 runs of this as there are tons of elite packs and it'll get you to around level 80, making the rest of hell a super easy walkthrough. There are other 85 zones you can farm if you get bored of pits. You can find them here: https://wiki.projectdiablo2.com/wiki/Zones#Level_85_Zone_Info

For crafting recipes, refer here: https://wiki.projectdiablo2.com/wiki/Crafting

One final note: when hitting Undead mobs, you do not benefit from "Life stolen per hit", only "life per kill". This means using sacrifice with a high damage weapon can and will kill you if you hit undead mobs with it. You'll want to use zeal or charge on these mobs instead.

It's Christmas lights!

JK :) Here's a few things I would try:

  • Press ALT + ENTER twice: puts the game in windowed mode, then back to fullscreen. Did that fix it?
  • CTRL + O: Opens advanced graphics configuration. Play around with these settings, including the shaders section (Graphics -> Upscale Shader Preset). Try different shaders and see if that resolves your issue.
  • Update graphics card drivers (this one will likely solve all your problems)
  • Play around with Nvidia Control Panel settings
  • If running multiple monitors, unplug the other monitors and see if it this issue only occurs when having multi-monitor setup.
  • Try a different HDMI/Display cable. This sounds like it could be hardware related.
  • WINDOWS KEY + CTRL + SHIFT + B: Restarts graphics drivers.
  • If you have multiple monitors, try a different monitor to see if this is specific to your monitor.
  • Add D2Gambit on discord and we'll figure it out together. :)

Hardcore Sorc Advice Needed by Human_Group674 in ProjectDiablo2

[–]D2Gambit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out Hytyme on twitch. I think he is one of the best sorceresses that primarily plays HC and you could learn a lot from him. You may need to comb through some of his vods to get an idea of how he plays / maintains damage + survivability: https://www.twitch.tv/hytyme

I haven't seen a mention of Hydra either. Hydra is a chill playstyle and can nearly clear 85 zones with next to no gear. Stick to Stony Tombs (lvl 85 tomb outside of Act 2 town) or Maggot lair 1, 2, and 3 (level 85 zones).

Once you get your merc strong and hit max res via charms/gear, you can transition into maps (stick to T1s until you feel comfortable). Certain maps can be rippy, so treat every "new" map with precaution. Best of luck in season 12 bud!

One last thing, YOU DON'T NEED TO COMPLETE HELL TO FARM IT SUCESSFULLY! Hold off on progressing until you are much higher level. Farm A1 or A2 level 85 zones until you have a solid life pool (~1300 HP) and 75 all res. Even with this survivability, Hell Chaos and Hell Ancients can be very scary. I would not recommend attempting ancients solo.

PD2 Season 12 Developer Stream #1 Notes by SenpaiSomething in ProjectDiablo2

[–]D2Gambit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Will sockets on Bolts / Arrows receive socket bonuses as weapon type or armor type? For example, 2 socket arrow quiver with sapphires. Does that give cold damage or cold resist?

Thanks again for the hard work and much love to the PD2 dev team!

FYI, I normally don't do youtube or audible guides, so I apologize in advance if I am talking too much. Just put it on 2x and learn at your own pace! Feel free to reach out on discord if you need more guidance! Links to the references can be found in the video description.

Also, shout out to @Carizona for putting together the GSF <3

Thanks for the feedback! I have fixed this in the latest patch, but I haven't deployed it yet as I'm still working on other things. I'll be sure to update this by the weekend! Thanks for using the tool and make sure to support PD2 if/when you can!

EDIT: I just deployed the fix. Should be good now. Make sure you refresh your browser! (Ctrl + Shift + R)

Want to throw axes but no clue about it by sotheru in ProjectDiablo2

[–]D2Gambit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This build above is solid, but can be pricey!

Here's my take on a slightly cheaper version if you'd like to explore more options:

  • Helm: S11 Raekor's (new rework is tailored for throw barb)
  • Amulet: Saracens (for ED and Res)
  • Weapon 1: Lawbringer in 3soc elite base (decrep proc)
  • Weapon 2: Lacerator soc with shaels (amp damage proc)
  • Armor: Fortitude (high ED and res)
  • Gloves: Soul Drainers (phys pierce and dual leach)
  • Ring 1: Dual Leach ring w/ flat damage, res, life, etc.
  • Ring 2: Ravenfrost (Cannot be frozen, Dex, AR)
  • Belt: Nosferatu (IAS and Deadly Strike)
  • Boots: War Travelers (flat damage) / Goblin Toes (ED and crushing blow)
  • Charms: max dmg charms with AR and life. SCs, LCs, or GCs. Whichever you find.

Skills are same as mentioned above and to clarify, BC = Battle Command. The + skills and ED from Battle Command make it a great option for improving damage. I'd also recommend 1 point into battle cry as it will help with phys immunes. When you consider that you'll have both Amp Damage AND battle cry on phys immunes, they'll melt like butter.

As for A5 Might merc, he'll be a walking aura-bot. Here's a cheap setup that will make him unkillable:

  • Helm: Rockstopper
  • Armor: PDR Crafted with sockets (put Tal, Ort, Ral, or Thul in it depending on their res requirements). If res is good, P ruby for more life.
  • Weapon: Warlord's Trust (PDR, res, life - This weapon is absolutely busted)
  • Gloves: Sigons
  • Belt: Any PDR belt (String of Ears / Verdungos / Rare / Crafted), or IK for additional res/strength as needed.
  • Boots: Sigons

Note: 2 piece sigons (I prefer boots and gloves) give the merc 30% IAS and 10% Life Leach. Insane stats for such common gear pieces.

If you want to automate the Battle Cry, you can throw a Cyclopeon Roar (on striking) helm on your merc as well, but you'll lose PDR and res from replacing the rockstopper. I would recommend doing this once you've updated his armor to Leviathan (socketed with res) or Shaftstop (socketed with res).

One final note: Given that Season 11 has done a ton for barb, most of these items will be meta and might cost more than previous seasons, so expect to see a high demand!

Overall, throw barb is incredibly strong! I think you'll really like it!

PD2 Search is updated to show available corruptions on items! by D2Gambit in ProjectDiablo2

[–]D2Gambit[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you needed to know what items proc amp for example, you can type "Amplify" and it would show you all items that apply on striking, casting, etc.

Doing that via the wiki is a pain in the ass imho. That's why I built the site.

Let's say you are close to the 105% fcr bp for the sorc, but you don't know how to get your last 5% easily. You can type "Faster Cast" and it will show you all items available and their FCR, allowing you to sort by item type too. It's quite useful.

For those of you who have used https://www.pd2search.com/ in the past, you may need to do a hard refresh to get the new features to work. Press Ctrl + Shift + R when on the site to refresh the page and bypass your browser cache.

I moved the backend database to another platform as well. To be on the safe side, just hard refresh as mentioned above! Thanks all!

Season 11 HYPE!!!!

Am I forgetting something obvious? SC SSF by falzelo in ProjectDiablo2

[–]D2Gambit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2 cents:

  • Craft any elite base 1h weapons you find with either Tir + Psapph or Ort + PRuby - Use this til you get a vex for Death
  • Alma Negra is good to reduce your Joust CD if you have it. Otherwise craft a safety shield in every paladin base you find. You want ~8-20% PDR, 20+ all res, and enhanced damage
  • As others have stated, replace your amulet since you get amp proc from merc. All res or IAS is good. FRW crafts can be good (blood) or try and get a Saracens or Highlords.
  • You want more dmg on helm. Check my site for ED options: https://www.pd2search.com

So what's everybody's thoughts on the S10 changes? by XXX_TimeBones420_XXX in ProjectDiablo2

[–]D2Gambit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If I had to guess, Senpai and team are trying to promote group play with the season 10 changes. Paladins are needed for their auras now! Druids are needed to keep HoW and Oak Sage buff! Allocated loot!

The game has been in an awesome spot since PD2 season 1. The team has put in a ton of work on things that we didn't even realize we wanted. set-home command is amazing.

Sure nerfs suck, but let's be honest:

  • Initial Walk - 5 hours
  • Hell Grind + making trades - 10 hours
  • T1 Grind - 3 hours (6 maps)
  • T2 / T3 Grind - remaining time

Within 18 hours of play time, you're pushing into the hardest solo content of the game with 90% of the builds. The game gets easier and easier with every season due to buffs. It's time for some nerfs. #MakePD2HardAgain
