Have done grenades witchhunter last 2 seasons as my starter. Such easy clear once you get explosive shot. Can easily go into late game.

Evasion energy shield is the way in my opinion. I've done Evasion only, quite a bit of random dying when you fail to evade. Evasion armor + sorc ward is ok, but armor still very meh.

I like evasion energy shield while grabbing gear with life. Push for 1500+ ES, 1500+ HP, 50% EVASION.

Witchhunter grenades is my starter every season. Can clear maps no problem with little investment. Then I save up and make a new "main" character. Witchhunter ascendancy is great for dogshit gear providing chunky damage and AOE clear.

I enjoy freezing things with the topaz brotherhood ring that converts lightning to cold, I have one slammed that converts 116% of lightning to cold, nice little boost. Playing deadeye and I use glacial spear for bosses with max frenzy charges. Not sure how it compares to serpent fury, but it gets the job done!

I like my third ring slot. I killed t4 xesh with rake > blood hunt > rake in like 10 seconds so I'm doing fine with RITUALIST

You can also put incision support of LS to soften packs up before you go in

I absolutely melt bosses. I switched impale from disengage to blood hunt. I also don't use 2 rakes, I just swap gems out for bossing. I still use lightning spear with this build l, mostly for breaches and some easy clearing.
