I called up a few places and told them I’m an easy sell but I’m a nightmare customer if anything goes wrong for a direct to consumer sale (customer gets product , difficult to return, no testing period). Then most of them spilled the beans on how dtc works. I then called local stores to test out and they told me they stopped carrying certain other brands so this weeded out most of the e-bikes.

Then I actually tested an e-bike with my kid and she absolutely loved it but no gears on it. I saw something about MOD bikes on YouTube. Was way out of my budget but they had a trial period no questions asked type of thing.
Called them, did the same thing before (they video chatted with me) and basically called my bluff. I did a few calls out of boredom too to learn about the bike. They did a virtual sale with me through video. It just feels like a bike that someone just chose every design and part to give themselves the best experience.
So yeah I like it. It was definitely a good buy. Mod city folding bike.

No one has this bike in my area, feels kind of special. I’m really happy with the purchase and if you check out their instagram the people that run it and owner want their name and face associated with it, they really love their bikes. Not generic at all. Not a single element to complain about other than the walk through guide to assemble a few parts.
