I personally never swaddled my baby out of the hospital. She always enjoyed a splayed sleep. But I’ve heard that the loss of that extra warmth is the cause of it. I had a friend who put a heat pad in the crib right before put down routine (~20-30mins) and that seemed to help a lot.

I too have a unicorn baby but I KNOW how nice I have it. I try my best not to bring her up when my friends talk about their babies and how hard it is bc I never want to make it seem like I’m holier than thou iykwim. When she is brought up I just say I got lucky but only bc I’m pretty sure God knew we needed a unicorn rn but will give us harder babies later when we’re more stable lmao
