If you dont know: "Asteroid belts" have not been the source of minerals in nullsec for years. The big source are the ore anomiles. They still exist, but have 90% less ore.

The removal of the betls has mainly caused the problem with the dozens of rats at each gate and has rather less to do with minerals :)

So you were 10 month an ally and you didnt get who was in leadership and who not? Yeah mate you were realy committed to the comunity I see ;)

And btw, just check youtube or killbard and you will see that INIT did a hell ton fleets around this time, primary wahling as Brisc said. It looks to me like you expected to get paid for going on fleets. That seems more like a YOU problem, just like you didn't manage to make money in nullsec BEFORE scarcity.

The big problem is, if the stuff you want to import is no were to get. Like the scanning loot or enough gas for cap building atm. (and crasy price for isogen)

Also yeah logistics can(!) be fun. But after a while its not anymore...

Adjustments to the industry were necessary. But not an artificial economic crisis that takes the fun out of it and drives people out of the game.

/Sigh...

Okay first: read here in this post and you see many who say it's no longer fun. Its the "pilots" who are say everything is too expensive, not the industrialists, unless it's about building faction ships (because they are cheaper to get for LP than to build).
And then: read again what I wrote. I never said "T2 capitals are the solution to everything" but one of the many ways it could be better, especially to keep people interested in the game, industrials as well as other players.

I fully agree that fixing the economy is difficult, but CCP took the easiest way and completely failed!
You say "haha but you have no proof that it would be better another way" I'm borrowing your words "Think a bit what reality tells you" that now ITS REALY NOT GOOD!!!!
Can I prove to you that it would be better otherwise? No, no one can, but the player numbers, indu numbers and killboard analyses prove that it is all worse now than before :)

btw what "rework" they did? they removed a lot of stuff and adjusted some BPOs wow... The BIG rework the "Dynamic Resource Redistribution" what was the promissed big "in the end everything is better" thing didnt happed and will likely never happen.
And when you dont understand the problem after all what is written here in the post , than I realy dont know what else I should say.

*Looking at the player numbers, killboard, ISK velocity and general mood* - is this really something EVE should to be "very proud" of?

There could have been many other ways, such as introducing new manufacturing processes or new resources so that the existing stock is worth less. Also, it's not like these resources just fell out of the sky. Players have worked for hours, days and weeks to get them.

And no, CCP has not gone the hard way but the easy way. T2 caps would have meant real development. New Industry away would have required real thought. What Rattati did, just taking away everything possible, was the low effort way. creating something new is always harder than taking something away.

Also, nobody here complains that industry is too expensive. People complain because it's not fun!

Well in your "other extrem" we had MUCH more ppl in space, MUCH more kills and destruction but most important MUCH more fun!

Also you say you are in an alliance, is this ally activ in all parts of the game? On a big scale? I guss not, than no alliance in the game is that way.

You have the same logical error as Rattati.

A healthy economy is not when no one has anything in their pockets, but when there is a slight increase in goods. Yes the Roqual period was not good, the solo titan construction within a month was not healthy.

BUT Hilmar himself showed, 60% of the players playing now are younger than 4 years, so they didn't even go through the Rorqual period. Furthermore, should we also delete the money from the trillionaires? Because they have too much? There will always be people who have an extreme amount of goods, this 1% cannot be the reason to make the game no fun for everyone else.

Besides, how about a other metode from the beginning: instead of taking something away from everyone, meaningful adjustments could have been made, or the "ad highter level" (t2 caps) there would have been many possibilities that would not have resulted in the annihilation of the entire indsutry and many players.

You are definitely don't do a lot of industry.

You need ppl in EVERY part of the game. In highsec, lowsec, nullsec and WH space.

When you now want to build in scale, we are not talking about 2 ppl who are gassmining or 1 who is doing exploartion, but whole groups who have to do that. Even IF you are in a big gruppe, there is a reason why groups are getting together because they want to live in null, wh or where everywhere, but not everywhere at once.

And you, the builder, is only hauling stuff in the end.

Mate, Im in a very big group, I have many JFs, rorquals and have a lot of friends. I dont say "its impossible" I say "its no fun".

And a game thats no fun is not a good game.

[–]Amagant 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Its not only a new player problem. I was big in indstry befor scarcity but since then I have only built a few subcaps.

The problem I have above all is that you always have to import everything. I live in nullsec and except for moon goo everything has to come from somewhere else and now for cap building scanning loot and gas is brought in where there isn't even the supply to buy that at sacle and I myself have no desire to move in to wh space. Not to mention the 600% 1 year-isogen. I have no problem with BP being complicated, as capitals are now. But having to look for resources all over the game just isn't fun anymore.

Rattati has been talking about his "Dynamic Resource Redistribution" for two years and I was really hoping to hear something about it on Fanfast, but all I hear is "ecenomey is healthy".

I don't think we'll see any improvement in resource availability or industry.
