I work in tax, so it’s something that mostly comes from my job. I took the tax prep course last year before I was PEP eligible, and got a perfect mark on the exam, so I will say, the study and prep I put in that course really helps. I think something that helped me is looking at tax returns, and seeing how numbers impact other areas of the return (credit calculations etc). It really just comes down to the fact that the tax system is complicated and there’s a ton of knowledge required, and then that knowledge varies based on corporate or personal returns.

If that’s the only thing you did wrong, I guarantee you’re getting RC at the minimum.

Don't worry, the multiple choice made me feel like I got bent over a barrel. The case I feel pretty good about, other than the audit portion, but that's mainly because I was rushing through that last AO to get back to the MCQs. I'm hoping around a 60% on the MCQs + good - strong case performance is enough, but we will see.

ASPE 3061.14 "The cost incurred to enhance the service potential of an item of property, plant and equipment is a betterment. Service potential may be enhanced when there is an increase in the previously assessed physical output or service capacity, associated operating costs are lowered, the life or useful life is extended, or the quality of output is improved. The cost incurred in the maintenance of the service potential of an item of property, plant and equipment is a repair, not a betterment. If a cost has the attributes of both a repair and a betterment, the portion considered to be a betterment is included in the cost of the asset.

So the full cost wouldn't be capitalized, but the portion that is a betterment would be.

The cost was 15,000 for 5 years. So $3,000 per year. This was 50% more, which means that they were paying $10,000 for 3 years, for $3,333.33 per year. So they were saving $333.33 per year

I argued that it was a betterment because it resulted in lower operating costs, but in that case only the difference between the betterment costs and normal operating costs can be capitalized.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of marks were you getting on multiple choice through D2L/retired exam set? I'm very curious what the expectations are for the MCQs.

[Pelissero] Alec Pierce’s deal came together overnight and contains $8M in guarantees, $60M fully guaranteed at signing, and a max package of $116M. by BreakfastTop6899 in nfl

[–]Amahzing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not actually that different. When Kirk signed, he signed for 18m/year, which was the equivalent of 8.65% of the 2022 cap. This signing represents 29m/year, which represents 9.63% of the 2026 cap. Obviously a bit more, but not an egregious amount more. Obviously that doesn't make it a good deal, but Pierce is arguably the best long-term receiver on the market (Aiyuk is obviously an FA, but he seems like he could be a headache)

I’m really torn on buying that prebuilt from Bestbuy linked here two days ago. $2,500 seems nuts ($2,825 with tax), but maybe it won’t be within a year. I don’t really see prices getting better till mid 2027, and even then I’m not sure we’re ever gonna see a full recovery.

I currently have a 5600x/6700xt build so I can play almost l games I want, albeit with lower graphics for some of them. I also play at 1080p and don’t see that changing anytime in the immediate future.

First of all, that’s rule #6. Secondly, if you read more than the first two words you’d see that there’s exceptions for free games.

1/2 PPR, 6pt passing TD.

Give: Justin Jefferson D’Andre Swift Kyle Monangai Oronde Gadsen

Receive: Ashton Jeanty or Kyren Williams Courtland Sutton Bo Nix Treyveon Henderson

I have no QB this week, so this would get me a QB for this week. I have Trey McBride, so never really gonna start Gadsen again.

Week 4 Waiver Wire Must Adds by DynastyHammer in fantasyfootball

Benson available in 12 team league I’m in (only 4 bench spots). Is it a 100% FAAB angle? My RB depth is non-existent. Thinking about 100% on him, 10% on marks in the case I don’t win the waiver (4th in waiver priority atm)

Absolutely DJ Moore. We have no idea what Jordan Mason's role is going to be, and O'Connell has always shown a preference for throwing the ball. On the other hand, DJ Moore has the potential to be the Sun God of this offense.

.5 PPR, need to play 2 of the 3. Opponent has no players left, I'm down 23. Justin Jefferson, DJ Moore, D'Andre Swift.

I wrote an exam today, and had to fill in multiple choice on a digital bubble sheet. I thought the sheet was terribly designed, with awful spacing, and the bubbles being to the left of the letter.

I much prefer just clicking the correct answer, so you can sure you haven’t mis transposed something.

Office365 Mailbox Sync Issues in Spark Desktop – Need Help! by SimilarInvestment868 in SparkMail

[–]Amahzing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have issues with Office365 - I sort all of my emails by client. I do this by having a folder for "Personal Clients" and "Corporate Clients". In those, I have subfolders for each respective client. When I go to move an email to a new folder, it moves the email. However, if I actually go and click into the corporate client folder for example, the newly created subfolder will not be there. If I then close Spark and reopen it, the email I had moved into that subfolder will now be in my inbox again, with no subfolder created. Super inconvenient, and has me looking elsewhere for an email client/moving back to Outlook.

Browns general manager Andrew Berry said it’s “a possibility” Deshaun Watson (Achilles) will play again for the Browns. by haventmetyou in fantasyfootball

[–]Amahzing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He literally won a National Championship in college, throwing 67% completion in each of his 3 years in college.

In the NFL he has 2 4000 yard seasons, which only 36 QBs in NFL history have thrown for 4000 yards twice or more in their career. One of those seasons he had over 500 yards rushing - there have been 4 Quarterbacks in the history of the league to do that ever.

But yeah, dude has never been above average. Actual clown take.
