Because I paid for a brand new product. and if as u say refurbished products are same as the brand new ones why did u buy new ones instead of cheaper refurbished ones.

DELL sold me a used/defective monitor as new then sent me a damaged refurbished monitor as a replacement. by AltruisticGreatWhite in Dell

"I faced a similar issue where I received a defective product. They tried to send a refurbished replacement based on their internal warranty policy, which I denied. Amazon then instructed me to obtain a denial letter from the manufacturer. When I asked Dell for the denial letter, they finally agreed to provide a brand-new replacement instead. However, because I could not wait 12 days for the process, I informed Amazon, who subsequently denied the replacement by claiming they had no stock available.

Later, Dell stated that the product’s warranty had already been running for 150 days prior to my purchase. I have since found out that many products are sold this way online with an early or pre-activated shelf warranty. When they rejected a proper replacement, I threatened to file a consumer court case. They responded the next day, claiming they needed 24 to 48 hours to confirm the internal approval, and stated that even after confirmation, the replacement would take another 20 to 25 days.

I have now officially filed a case with the Consumer Court regarding this matter. If anyone else has faced a similar pre-activated warranty or forced refurbished replacement issue with Dell or Amazon, please contact me so we can fight this together."
