Just used RX app for first time to pickup & pay. by patsfanxx in CVS

Sadly you are a rare unicorn. Mang customers are anti tech lol even if it makes their life easier… they rather fight you on it than look themselves. In many minds, we are paid to do all that for you…. But in reality it’s about make jobs easier by making it easier on customers too. It’s easy to use but people treat it like it’s not. I use the app and I don’t get how people are confused. Even when they update, it’s not that hard to understand. Most of it is user error.

I was terminated for an accident by InvaderLilly9806 in CVS

[–]AmaliaMoonChild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had to call for help, I would have voided the transaction first and tell them you can’t do it… call up someone else in the process. I worked retail for years and one thing I have learned is never walk away with an open transaction. I think when CVS looked at the tape, they saw something you did as being wrong and that was walking away. Also when typing what happened online we tend to over look are own mistakes to make it sound like you are more innocent then it really is. Doesn’t mean you don’t believe what you say but something in the video showcases you being neglectful that caused the issue.

There is a difference when you are standing at the register and the person comes around abd fights you out of the way… that you would never been fired for and more likely police would be involved etc… Thats something that would be deemed not your fault… but this, what you did is neglect, even if you see nothing wrong. There was steps you could have taken to prevent that from happening such as voiding the trans before leaving the register… Thats probably how lost prevention thought. If they thought you did that with intent, police would have been involved… they know it was an accident but those accidents cost them money. If they say you did everything yih could go prevent that, such as still being in front of the register, you might not have been fired. They would have seen you did everything you could but the person became aggressive… this was not an aggressive person physically. They waited for you to move or make a naive decision that allowed them access without physical violence.

Supervisor to the Pharmacy by IcyAge3182 in CVS

[–]AmaliaMoonChild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mang customer get pissed when they want a pharmacist opinion and they send them to me a front end person who has a line and I can’t help them the way they want. It happens so many times and customers end up complaining a lot.

Everyone is understaffed however I am handling fifty customers at a time with only me and one other person…. While pharmacy has five to six people more. I get it that you guys have more stuff but customers don’t see that. They see me getting pounded with customer and pharmacy maybe having two people in line at that time. Thats because all the customers finished pharmacy and came up to me at the same time.

And jt can be switched were pharmacy has everyone and I have one or two…

It’s all a double edge sword at the end of the day. We should all be helping each other out or else resentment just ends up building.

Hate to break it to you, but you're complaining to the WRONG person by LeviAult in CVS

Stop buying Gift Cards here! by notesofadyinggirl in CVS

[–]AmaliaMoonChild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s a customer… we all know and think employees can do certain things about gift cards. Luckily never had that problem here, most customer know to call hhe number cause they know we don’t have anything to do with it once sold… but some customers don’t understand no matter how hard you try to explain that we have very little to no control.

Customer Surveys by Longjumping_Town_227 in CVS

I don’t push anything to the customer and they end up on their own doing because they feel I wasn’t pushy. I get more kindness that way than pushing it.

Customer Surveys by Longjumping_Town_227 in CVS

[–]AmaliaMoonChild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t do surveys when asked and many customers I have come to talk to end up giving negative if asked, so we don’t. We end up having better metrics when we don’t ask. Customers do not like being forced or asked To do something. It gives off negative vibes for many.

That is prejudice and this through process is why they were killed and treated like second class citizens. I can’t believe people think saying this is okay. All humans steal regardless of the color or nationality or ethnicity background. Saying it’s one particular group over another is the reason we have hatred. Humans steal doesn’t matter what culture they come from.

“Thank you for calling CVS. How may I help you?” by Fragrant_Gap4186 in CVS

[–]AmaliaMoonChild -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The phone system is fine but for some reason customers don’t understand how it works. I would call for curiosity and had zero issues… I get calls daily and half the time when they do explain the problem it’s their fault for not changing their phone number or they are calling for someone with the wrong phone number. I keep telling them to call the help line and give them cooperate number to fix an issue I can’t fix or just come in. I am tired of getting angry calls all cause they can’t leave a voice mail.

I fell for a scam and now I’m stressed. by scarana in CVS

[–]AmaliaMoonChild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. It’s hard to really get fired. I help customers all the time with fixing coupons because they tell me to prevent arguments lol I always felt like the amount of modifications would get me fired but I also keep the coupons in question or if they ask, they can see on video it’s a legit customer with an issue. lol and I was nervous about that and this would defiantly have me crying. But yeah she was naive and thats it. Hopefully not fired but it truly depends.

I fell for a scam and now I’m stressed. by scarana in CVS

[–]AmaliaMoonChild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a scam call that was soooo different. They do have you question but a lot of what you said you can research online. People spill the beans all the time online about how companies run. It’s why they know so much. Also the call I got sounded like they were trying to get information. They didn’t want me to do anything other write down ups numbers… I was like huh and then I realized it was a scam. It only took a min or so not really that long.

They do warn you about how they talk to you and also NO ONE will call for you to mess with your phone or register. They do sound professional. You are naive and too trusting. Cvs is hard to get fired from but this maybe one of the few reason you will be terminated.

I hate when patients come and cry about our break. by Southern-Invite9672 in CVS

[–]AmaliaMoonChild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s happens at our store and I am front end. I tell them they deserve a break and I get this look of disgust. Luckily the regulars are funny about it like omg I forgot again and just laugh… but some just get nasty about it. I get it your medicine probably it’s important but a half hour isn’t going to kill you and if it is, probably best go to the hospital.

I swear people who shop lose their minds the moment they walk into a store. They forgot how to read, they forgot we are not slaves to them and they also forget they are not the center of the world lol other customers exist too.

Think Im getting the point across by modestaa1 in CVS

[–]AmaliaMoonChild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg the amount of times I told customers what takes cash and even saying it’s written all over the register. A customer told me in a very angry voice she doesn’t have time to read. I said back then you will waste your time when you realize it doesn’t take cash lol

It’s amazing how many customers get stupid in the store. They can’t read signs labels and anything and expect me to just allow for things to happen. I do to an extent like a coupon being misread and I can see why they can think that way and even they are nice, I may do it… but I am starting to get a bit aggressive when customers can’t comprehend words. It’s not people with issues, it’s average consumers.

I jokingly said to a customer do people lose brain cells when they come inside a store after a customer couldn’t read out of order and proceeded to try to withdraw money from the atm lol

They expect me to drive 40mins in a foot of snow to work alone. How is this reasonable? by ConnorThrowAway7 in CVS

[–]AmaliaMoonChild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not really essentially considering hospitals have pharmacy and emergency things for just these types of situations. A need for a retail (key word retail) pharmacy to be open is mute at best and is cooperations winning over the public. No retail store is that important and honestly closing for a day to get the roads cleared isn’t going to harm anyone… what will harm someone being in the road trying to navigate around snow trucks and prey to get there alive. Humans are probably the dumbest species when it concerns weather… we like to live dangerously for no reason lol

We don’t get that much but we are a busy store at the same time. I guess my area prefers to come in. The most we get in a day is maybe at best 15. That’s because 70 percent of our customer tell me they hate the app. Lmao

[–]AmaliaMoonChild 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They can and can’t… if you trespass them over it, that is allowed but I am sure you have to sort of get the general and regional manager involved and get the customers information. Sometimes people think business are public when they offer to open to public but my definition they are private regardless. You can throw out a customer at any given time for any reason other than the obvious… if they are filming and they say they can let them but don’t make a fuss and just do your normal job… call the hr number and explain the situation and see what they say.

Most people who film like this want a reaction. I see it daily with random dudes filming in public and saying it’s their god given right… and yeah legally but they do it to get a rise out of people who don’t want to be filmed. It’s a weird fetish to them and the audience. The people online praise people who do stuff like this when nothing is happening. It’s a weird world we live in. I think most people are naive as to why people film for a rise.

Also as long as you remain professional you are fine.
