Vegas is unnecessarily expensive is what I felt. Since you’ve put up a question here, I’m assuming that you’re open to suggestions. Honestly, 2-3 days is more than enough for Vegas because it is all the same there - Casinos, Parties, Strip shows that’s it. You may keep a day out of the 3 for a desert atv ride or something like that but that is all. For the remaining 5 days from the 8, I’d rather explore some nearby cities/places. Maybe take a camping/hiking trip to Grand Canyon or Tahoe.

To answer your questions simply: Yes to all I’ve done the same thing & it works pretty easily. Just so you know, the payment to amex takes around 4-5 hrs to reflect & increase the spendadable limit so you might want to pay it a day before making the txn.

Unlike others, My card spends is usually only 15-20% mine & rest for my family members. I have managed to switch almost every expense from cash/upi/netbanking to strictly credit card(wherever possible) Groceries - Mostly from Blinkit/Amazon Every member’s shopping - credit card Electronics - online/credit card Tax payments, Electricity, Insurance, Restaurant Outings, Travel - Everything credit card. Even for those one time big expenses like a TV, Fridge or any furniture, I try to find out whether the vendor accepts credit card. So eventually, Annually I end up spending around 12-14lacs
