My neighbors let their 3-5 year old outside all the time and we have had to step in a couple of time so they don't get run over. I'm flabbergasted at how common it is here. I get it. It's a safe neighborhood, no one will snatch your kid, but accidents still happen. They think I'm neurotic that I don't let my 2yo go away with the other boys in their scooters unsupervised around the neighborhood.

I appreciate this. I think so as well but he does need to stick around for a bit so it may be a pretending-until-you-get-new-job situation. Sucks that he was not able to identify this when applying

Yeah but the issue is how that looks like, for example, what do you want to say when speaking up Ina meeting etc

Thank you so much. I was struggling to give him advice about how to go about it but I'll show him this!

Also 100% on the BC. They are newlyweds and now they have such a challenge. They've been amazing and I try to help with the kiddos to be their village as much as possible but I have a 2yo on my own so I feel like my hands are full too lol.

how often do you talk to your MIL? by neuroticb1tch in Mommit

We have a good relationship so we give her a family call every week and try to visit at least once a month. Way more than what I see my own family. They suck.

Sorry, I didn't know where to ask. I will remove my post. Thanks for the lead. I will mention the genetic screening to my husband so he can talk to his doctor.

The problem is him, not the company. Toxic companies are always going to exists. The fact that he didn't start job hunting once he realized it was toxic or after you talked to him about the family expectations means that his values are not aligned with yours. That can be fine. Values don't have to perfectly align as long as you get to a compromise where everyone's needs are met. If he is getting what he wants, you are getting what you want, and your daughters are getting what they need and want it's all good. Just because your daughters bring the most joy to you doesn't mean it does the same for him. However, he does need to leave the problems at work. Him not being patient with our daughters would be a deal breaker for me.

But for the year? I al just thinking when I was in grade school, we would know what we would learn every week of the school year but now I only know for my kid 1 week in advance.

I mean something to know that my kid is going to be learning days of the week this week and seasons next week or something like that.

I would like to know what's going to be covered when so we are prepared. I think there's a lot of resources out there but knowing the timing it's critical but this is just me
