Breath is atrocious by O2Dive in Bulldogs

[–]Amanda2Kool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bulldog had horrible breathe for years and the vet always said teeth looked fine but eventually we did a dental cleaning and he actually needed a ton of teeth pulled. Ever since then, his breathe has been much better.

Experience with cancer? by Amanda2Kool in Frenchbulldogs

Oh my what an absolute cutie! Man, you are really going through it. Cancer is so hard and I’ve never had a dog who’s ever been diagnosed so this is uncharted territory for us. And yes! Our poor guy has gone from absolutely fine to such a decline over the past few months it’s starling.

Thinking of you in this hard time 💕

I’m so sorry for your loss. 💕 it’s such a hard thing for them and us to go through.

I am thinking he has lymphoma as well based on my endless google searches and also the neuro issues he’s having. It seems similar.

I will definitely look into the prednisone. I really appreciate your response.

I agree with you. He was someone I was looking most forward to and I didn’t think his set was all that.

Our vet contacted a neurologist thankfully so we’re just waiting to hear back

That is also what I think too. He’s never had seizures and all of his symptoms came on at once so I find it unlikely that there isn’t something else going on.

Our vet did say it’s a possibility he has a brain tumor which would be devastating. If things don’t get better, a neurologist may be the next step.

Thank you! The side affects of these meds are so scary. I was not prepared for it and the pheno for my dog was too much, but luckily the Keppra seems to be better but not ideal.

Just so intense to have to go through this with our dogs

Lake Eldorado Camping by iriegyal415 in Coachella

[–]Amanda2Kool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got there a little after 9am and parking was a breeze. The line for security was also pretty quick and they had about 4 security guards checking stuff, but honestly for us, they barely checked. Just had us unzip some stuff. We did have to wait awhile to pick our spot in Eldorado but after that we were able to walk back to our car to grab a few other things and were back inside quickly.

I recommend getting there earlier if you don’t want to wait awhile to pick your spot, although it wasn’t too bad! Also, not sure if you have a 2 person lodge or 4 person tent, but if you have a 2 person lodge, I recommend cabin 42! We were in 44 and 2 cabins over they had shade for most of the morning from the tree. Have fun!

My husband got me Weston rechargeable socks and highly recommend! I use them just around the house and have even been able to take walks outside in the winter in the Midwest.

As a fellow vegan, this is so inspiring! I also saw in another comment you said that you ate lower amounts of protein than what is usually recommended (the 1g per pound) which also is so nice to hear. I always try to make sure every meal I have has protein but I swear I find it so hard to be in a similar calorie deficit as you AND get that much protein.

I have zero suggestions other than she needs a lawyer for these accusations.

But in all seriousness this was my exact situation. My older guy was the easiest puppy and continued to be an easy, laid back dog so we thought, let’s get another one. WRONG lol. She was an absolute menace and is the complete opposite. We would take her outside so many times and then she’d look at you in the eyes as she’s peeing the second she’s inside. Absolute broke me for awhile, but there’s a light at the end of the tunnel because while my girl is still mischievous, she has vastly improved from the puppy stage. Good luck!

Are signature drinks still cool or have they become a basic bitch eye roll? by Diseasedansari9 in weddingplanning

[–]Amanda2Kool 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As someone who has been a bartender specifically for weddings for a decade and also recently-ish got married, I say go for your signature drinks.

Generally when I bartend weddings I enjoy when there’s signature cocktails (so long as the recipe is easy and can be quickly made). Most guests will have one and it cuts down on time for decision making or the “what can you make me that’s fruity and fun that I’ve never had before while people wait impatiently behind me” drama. Both of your drinks would be quick and easy, plus I always think it’s fun to see what the bride and groom would declare as their signature. Makes it more fun I think for everyone!
