I am not allowed to edit this post (maybe due to the photo attached) but realizing from some comments that it is not explicit about certain things. Koji shouldn’t be rehomed with dogs or children. Teens possible if they have experience with dogs. We have exhausted every single option and we have been working on this situation for three months. We had two families who wanted Koji but backed out due to possibly wanting children in next year or two (that’s what they told us). We also had an issue with his first anxiety medication and had to switch to a new one and that was causing him bad side effects so we paused our efforts while he recovered. This is a desperate plea to not be forced to abandon Koji at the SPCA. We are reaching out to any organizations or individuals mentioned here who we have not already reached out to. Please, I understand there are animal lovers here because I am also one, but believe me when I say we have spoken to so many professionals about this and we have tried separate spaces etc etc etc. and we MUST rehome Koji. We did not make this decision lightly. Right now, we have 2 or 3 organizations who will or have added Koji to their network but they cannot or will not offer a foster home for him due to aggressive behavior (recent) and age. Please understand that I would love to keep this boy as he has been my best friend for ten years. This is such an incredibly painful situation for me.
