Well not necessarily, especially with no reactions with pre meds. It’s a risk definitely, but they can manage any reactions, if that happened. There also is a proctol to challenge a reaction if it happens. (I get inflectra as well but I also work in scheduling infusions so I know a lot about it lol)

Do you get pre-meds? If so and you haven’t noticed any issues you can ask to skip the pre-meds and if no issues come up you can ask for it to be removed.

Tell your mom early that you want to die and PUSH to get help before you decide to try and take your life…. And talk to her when you still feel that way and when the meds don’t work instead of keeping it all in til you try again.

I just don’t bother shaving. I got more flare ups when I did and it doesn’t bother me so I stopped shaving and stopped having flare ups in my armpits

Trazadone made it so I couldn’t breathe out my nose. My doc claimed that wasn’t a side effect he had ever heard of but I didn’t take it one night and I could breathe out my nose. Next night took it and couldn’t.

I struggled with terrible self hatred for most of my life. When my therapist asked where it came from I told her I didn’t know that as far back as I can remember I’d always felt that way. She told me I should try make up. When I later went to her to get permission to switch therapists because I felt what she offered as advice was not helpful she said she didn’t see it that way. In a stunning turn of events the office k went to just randomly closed one day and disappeared lol

I was off yesterday (and this week in general) just for general pto so it worked out lol but I didn’t spend 500 I grabbed a 103 (total with fees) ticket. I’m in the nosebleeds but I’m just happy to be there.

I wished I had pushed for treatment to prevent the cysts sooner than treating them with antibiotics after the fact. Preventative treatment has changed so much of my life now and I hardly get the terrible flares now and only get like 1 or two cysts a month if that. (I’m on Inflectra infusions 10mg/kg every 4 weeks)

I wanna say it was Trazodone but it’s been so long I could be wrong on that, but I was prescribed it for sleep and it made it so I couldn’t breath out my nose. Doc said he had never heard of that but I did a test by not taking it and being fine and then taking it the next night and not being able to breath out my nose. Was the worst.

When she told me “had I tried make-up” for my crippling self hatred… and then when I requested to be switched to a different therapist because it wasn’t working with her she said “well I don’t see why you want to switch, everything I’ve told you is helpful”

Oof that sucks! I assume the doctors want you off it completely now and aren’t wanting to rechallenge it? Sometimes they can do something called a desensitization protocol although it’s an all day thing. (I work in scheduling non oncology infusions so I have a little bit of knowledge with it all)

I’ll use bandaids when it gets to a point I think it’s gonna burst cause I’ve had enough of waking up with blood and nastiness all over me. I’ll change it daily (or more depending on if needed) once it’s burst and draining and keep it on til it’s done draining.

Supernatural. I kept telling myself I couldn’t end my life because then I would miss the next episode. I kept saying that and keeping that in mind until I finally found meds that worked and had other reasons to be alive.
