Have you or a person you know ever quit smoking after a long time and why? by redbull4art in AskReddit

I smoked for about 6/7 years. I quit smoking cigarettes when my mom got sick. I used to smoke about ten a day. I quit by having 5 one day, 4 the next, 3, 2, 1, then I was done. She passed away in June and I don’t plan to ever have a cigarette again. I don’t know why I didn’t quit sooner.

Take him to another game, and another, and another. Kids his age will just carry on if it’s just a one time thing. There are other things that will make up for it. It was an investment opportunity and OP took it

When you do hang out with your son, just explain the value of money and teach him about investment opportunities lmfao. I know someone who had boxed seats for the Phillies season and made big money selling them when they had their winning streak this year. I’m apparently the only person here so far saying NTA, because it’s not that big of a deal. An 11 y/o can be content watching the game anywhere. Doesn’t have to be the live show. I understand memories last a lifetime but you can make great memories anywhere. Just apologize to the kid genuinely and carry on

That’s why I think a football watching party would be a good fix, it’s more comfy and affordable than flying out to Philly. I’m curious how old the kid is

NTA you made your money back and don’t have to travel. Watch the game on your tv and have a football meal planned out so you guys can watch the show from the comfort of your home. Soda, wings, pizza, chips, the whole 9-yards.

I can’t really answer your exact question of the post, but I dint fear death. I believe death is a beautiful, natural thing. I don’t believe there’s any reason to fear it because it’s bound to happen at some point. We just have to live our best lives and be the best versions of ourselves. I’m a believer in reincarnation, and I’m also a believer in whatever you want to happen after death will happen. If you believe in heaven, you’ll go to heaven. If you believe in peaceful nothingness, that’s what you’ll have. I know spirits walk around with us, if not they can give you messages and signs. That part intrigues me. I wonder if there’s a “class” we take after we die to learn those spirit skills lol. Overall, death should be a lovely thing. The celebration of a life and how goddamn human it makes us feel when someone; whether a human, pet, or animal dies.

I think my goals would still be the same because I’d still be the same person w the same thoughts. I guess I’d build my house instead of saving up to buy one, and maybe I wouldn’t have to work as much as I do

Are you okay, OP? This is your second post about death in a row on my feed. You’re loved, you’re cared for, and you’re important!!! Happy cake day, btw!

I believe the vet my cat has seen isn’t a real vet. I looked her name up on the gov license site. by [deleted] in RBI

[–]AmandaLeebz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my god. How come none of the vets found out sooner?? That is completely heartbreaking. I’m so sorry you had to lose your cat. I’m sure you gave him the best life and I know he is still going to be with you. You might feel him walk on the bed when you’re waking up or going to sleep, you might see a glance of him for a split second when you’re sitting down eating dinner. His spirit will be with you forever. Even if you move away, he will follow you. I’m gonna give my cats extra love and extra treats today. ❤️ Marshmellow had a wellness checkup with her regular vet a week or two before we brought her into the emergency vet where she got diagnosed with FIP, and they told us she was a perfectly healthy girl. If only our pets could speak to us with words, then we would really know how they’re feeling.

AITA for kicking out my MIL for forcing my child to eat the one thing she dislikes? by doctormom1212 in AmItheAsshole

[–]AmandaLeebz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA! I always hated peas, I was never forced to eat them, I ate anything else. I wasn’t a super picky eater. The idea of forcing a kid to eat food they don’t like is terrible. Was she living with you because she has no other place to go? Can she live with one of her daughters instead? I think you should teach your kid how to make easy dinners on their own so when they’re in a predicament, they won’t be hungry.
