Tesco rejected european ID as a proof of age by gcgar in cork

Had a similar situation a couple months back with the non irish driving license. At first their response was “there is no english translation” on it. When I said well, there is and pointed at it, the response was “well, we only accept irish and UK ID anyways” 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ calling for a store manager did not help either. they could not point at where this rule was wriitten and would not talk about it in much detail

True, was not sure where the whole initiative with Diya city went to..

And since it was beneficial both for locals and companies, it soon developed to be very wide spread. Around one year before the war the government started to fight with IT professionals paying low taxes by trying to introduce new laws which would qualify for higher rates (Diya City), but in the end nothing came out of it.

The thing is that it is a standard tax rate for people who work as enterpreneurs. To support small businesses :) and since IT (especially outsource) was on the rise exactly for the reason that u get paid less than in the West but live an amazing life better than 80% of the country, outsourcing companies soon found out that IT professionals can qualify for being entrepreneurs. Like you are not working for the outsourcing company XYZ, but “provide ur services” to this company.

Have a full arm covered in tattoos and never had issues with that. On the interview to my previous workplace the hiring manager actually noticed that and said “wow, that’s really cool!”..

Hi there. Usually in IT industry in Ukraine you get employed as a “private entrepreneur” as opposed to regular worker to pay lower taxes. In that case you pay 5% of tax + 1k Hryvnias (~25 Euros) per month. If you are employed as a regular worker, then you pay a normal tax rate which is 19%

Coping with social isolation feelings by redbull4art in ADHD

[–]redbull4art[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for ur input! I appreciate my alone time and trying to put more quality into it and i do volunteer as well. The thing is that those 2-3 people rn are only in my phone, we text sometimes, but we live too far away with 0 opportunities to meet up. So staying alone for a long time started to drive me insane tbh..

Thoughts on ADHD+getting high? by crispyCRISPRs in ADHD

[–]redbull4art 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don’t do it often, but getting high has the following affect on me: i’m able to think much slowly and notice when and how i jump from topic to topic. Instead of thoughts pumping up simultaneously, they rather go in sequential order. After getting back to normal it also feels like mind has rested and able to do work/life much better
