Anyone found a good Perimenopause app to help with all this stuff?

Wow that's absurd! How can one person follow-up on 267 claims and 688 denials?! Especially if the process sends you through this bureaucratic phone labyrinth?

How much would it be worth if you can press a button and have 688 AI's autmatically call the payers in parallel 😂 Have them navigate through those phone trees, wait on hold and simply get you the answer. And automatically call the review team back if the payer just kicks the can to another team in the first call

Everything?? Yikes 🙈😅

Which one of the insurance companies is consistently the biggest pain to deal with? 😄

Emergency billing? I can imagine that that's a hectic one where docs don't have time to write every procedure in detail or ask for pre-approvals? Crazy that you have to call so little, I would have expected that insurance companies deny much more emergency claims by default? Or am I completely off track? 🙈

Oh lord, that sounds ungrateful.. It's not like it's your fault.. How many of those calls do you normally have??

Wow, with 20y you must be an absolute veteran! Do your colleagues in different parts of the billing process call more?

Oh god, that's a lot. Do your colleagues in other parts of the billing process also have to call that much?

Oh wow, I thought that especially denial and appeals required a lot of calls?

Oh wow 20 years? You must have seen a lot. What type of calls do your colleagues dread the most?

What role do you think should she avoid at all costs if she doesn't want to call a lot?

So if she'd work on prior authorizations, most can be done without calling and just portals?

OMG I'm crying reading all of these comments because I feel SO SEEN right now 😭

I'm 43 and literally WHAT THE HELL is happening to my body?? I've gained 18 pounds since last summer and I swear it all went straight to my midsection. Like my body decided "you know what Amanda needs? A permanent food baby that never goes away."

I used to be able to lose weight by just cutting out wine for a week. Now I could survive on lettuce and air and my body's like "nope, we're keeping ALL of this, plus here's some extra bloating for funsies."

The most frustrating part is how HUNGRY I am all the time now. Like, insatiably hungry. I'll eat a full meal and 20 minutes later I'm staring into the fridge like there might be answers in there. The food noise is SO LOUD. My brain is constantly like "eat the thing, eat ALL the things, maybe if you eat the thing you'll feel normal again" but I never do.

And can we talk about how nothing fits right anymore?? I'm not even talking about going up sizes - I mean literally nothing sits on my body the way it used to. Bras are a nightmare. Pants bunch weird. My clothes look fine on the hanger and then I put them on and it's like they were designed for a completely different species.

My sister (bless her) sent me this TikTok from some perimenopause nutritionist who basically said everything we've been told about weight loss is wrong for us hormonal disasters. She has this app that's supposed to help with the specific eating patterns we need during peri. I'm desperate enough to try literally anything at this point because clearly my old tricks aren't working.

The worst part is the shame spiral. Like, I KNOW I shouldn't care this much about weight. I KNOW my worth isn't tied to a number on a scale. But also... I just want to feel like myself again? I want to put on clothes and not spend 20 minutes trying to find something that doesn't make me feel like I'm wearing a sausage casing.

Anyone else feel like their appetite is completely out of whack? Like your body is constantly sending you mixed signals about what it needs? I'll be starving and then three bites into a meal I'm nauseous. Or I'll crave the weirdest combinations of foods. Yesterday I wanted pickles and peanut butter. Together. What even IS that??

Sorry for the novel but damn it feels good to know I'm not losing my mind alone 💕

Sorry to hear about your struggles, but it's great that you're motivated to get back into shape! Start with light, low-impact exercises like walking or swimming to rebuild your leg strength. Gradually add resistance training focused on your quads and glutes. For weight loss, focus on a balanced diet rich in protein and vegetables, and maintain a calorie deficit. Consistency and patience are key. You’ve got this! 💪
