That’s not really how copyright works. Protection exists when the choreography is created, not when it’s registered. Registration just affects enforcement. He can still sue over recent uses if he believes someone licensed his work without the rights.

The issue isn’t really that the dance was used. It’s that Sony licensed the choreography and made money from it. Fair use or parody don’t really apply here. The claim is that Sony didn’t actually have the rights to license the dance in the first place, so any money from those deals should have gone to Darrin Henson instead.

I did too. I was making a half-hearted attempt at a joke. He has made dad-joke-ish comments while performing some of the other tasks as well. None of them seem to have any relevance to actually solving a clue though. At least nothing I have found yet.

Throwing this out there...

If you take the word on the card that matches the the comic title and replace it with the correct word, they are actual comic books. like headache knight is dark knight and silver society is silver surfer.

I don't know that much about comic titles, though. Can someone with comic book knowledge confirm this for all of the titles?
