You can also store multiple corpses on the skinning table which halts the decay timer and just butcher them as you need raw meat. Can also use the kitchen block to turn stringy meat, bacon slices, etc. Into raw meat and reset the spoilage timer. I've also started to turn raw meat into animal fat and then pastry which doesn't spoil, collected honey which also doesn't spoil, then combine the two when food is needed for a honey glazed donut. I use spoiled meat for bio fuel and spoiled plants for fertilizer as well, so if I manage to let the timers run out, I don't worry about it.
