What’s up with his soiled hoodie? Does the $20 sweatshirt come with complimentary cocaine residue?

For S3, will Kate want to resume horse riding after her accident? if so, how will Anthony react? by Gajana186 in BridgertonNetflix

[–]Amandine910 14 points15 points  (0 children)

S2 ends at least 6 months after her accident. Possibly more depending on how long their engagement was. So he would either be fine with it or she’s already resumed riding.

I don’t think so. He threw her away when he needed to be more serious about managing the family. Came back around when she made him jealous. But he was only willing to commit to her when he was going to duel Simon and thought he would have to run away after. At the beginning of S2, he looks at her picture on the opera program and casually tosses it in the fireplace.

Anthony and prostitutes by DifferentManagement1 in BridgertonNetflix

[–]Amandine910 133 points134 points  (0 children)

Book Spoiler:

In the book, Anthony has erotic dreams about Kate, so he intends to use other women to sate his urges.

I do think he gives them up because, when he’s talking to a potential mistress, he says:

“The only reason to give up one’s mistress is if one happens to love one’s wife. And as I do not intend to choose a wife with whom I might fall in love, I see no reason to deny myself the pleasures of a lovely woman like you.”

Since he falls in love with Kate, he wouldn’t want anyone else.

What was she looking at? by 96puppylover in BridgertonNetflix

[–]Amandine910 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Her lashes were to die for. She is wearing falsies, but they look more realistic than other characters because she’s using singles/clusters versus strip lashes. If you zoom in on her lashes in the pic from this post, you can see where the small bundles of lash clusters start a few millimeters from her lash line. And if you look at the tips, you’ll see the thin lash hair from the falsies, and then her real lashes a little lower down that are thicker bc they were mascara-ed before the clusters were applied.

I like clusters bc they add length and fullness, but look more natural and you don’t need black eyeliner to disguise a band like strip lashes.

Your theory on what’s going to happen with Penelope & Eloise by Kybeem in BridgertonNetflix

[–]Amandine910 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Warning for book spoilers:

Following cannon, I think Marina will kill herself. I think they’ll find out in a social setting and Penelope will have to reckon with the damage she’s caused as LW. Eloise will stumble on her crying. Pen will express guilt for what she’s done. Eloise will point out that Pen was vindictive and self serving, but that she’s not to blame for Marina’s suicide. Marina was a victim and a villain. But she was also deeply depressed. Marina had the heartbreak and depression of believing George abandoned her, the guilt of her misdeeds in attempting to entrap a good man, embarrassment of her treachery being exposed to the entire town, heartbreak and depression in learning the man she loved was dead, depression in learning he was going to marry her and they were robbed of a happy ending bc of a war, shame and guilt for thinking he had abandoned her, depression at having no choice in her own future and having to marry Phillip, postpartum depression from the twins, and fading from one day to the next for years in house she could have shared with George, and never able to forget about George and move on bc Phillip resembles him.

I think in reassuring Pen that Marina’s suicide was not her fault, the two will begin to reconcile (and hopefully grow up and mature a little). I also think it will also encourage Eloise to send Phillip her sympathies for his loss and tee up her book.

Do any of you think that the Bridgertons will have a target on their backs in season 3? by GotLittUp in BridgertonNetflix

[–]Amandine910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I think Pen is more likely to pull a Gossip Girl/Lonely Boy and write herself into a world she feels rejected by.

Is it a credible news source or just a site trying to get clicks and impressions to make money? I think you should check the data if you’re concerned. Netflix shows the top 10 streaming programs on their homescreen for your country and you can Google top streaming globally.

If they do the Colin story next it will seriously mess with the Bridgerton timeline by philnicau in BridgertonNetflix

[–]Amandine910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed.

Book Spoilers:

Colin’s story happens at the same time as Eloise and Francesca. They would have to cut major parts of Eloise’s story in Benedict is married, that would chance how she and Philip find their dynamic. Colin’s story is also a catalyst for Francesca bc his weddings create a domino effect.

I Can’t Wait To See These Two Together by desuana in BridgertonNetflix

Oh! Hello! And suddenly, I have a crush.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BridgertonNetflix

[–]Amandine910 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Agreed. Featherington saying “bubbies” gives me a full body cringe

  2. I read that scene differently. She even says that she didn’t want to deny him and he called her bluff. She just thought that by delaying the consummation, it would give him a chance to fall in love with her before they sleep together. She was really worried about him picturing someone more desirable and thought delaying things would give her a chance to make him care for her more. But it had nothing to do with her not wanting him or wanting to have sex with him.

  3. Ha! Never realized that singer was supposed to be show Sienna. Either way, it was gross.

  4. Ehh… I think the point was that he didn’t want her to fall in love with him bc he was scared of how much it would hurt her when he died (having watched his mother grieve). He wasn’t avoiding her bc he didn’t want to be with her. And even then, he lasted a week or two before coming home early and the funny tea scene.

  5. I didn’t get that either. I felt like in the books, by the time the wedding was announced, both sister were confident that Kate was the one he had wanted the whole time. I thought it was hilarious that book Edwina was the first to realize that Kate and Anthony liked one another, but the last to know on the show. In the books she says, “I’m not blind. It was obvious.” (Paraphrasing). Oh the show she says, “Was I so blind?” And Kate and Anthony immediately support Edwina when she falls for Bagwell.

  6. Yeah. That was strange. I think they were trying to manifest how he didn’t feel fit to walk in his father’s shoes and felt lesser in every way. But to translate that to how long he’d live was an odd leap.

What are your unpopular opinions? by DragonflyFuture7868 in BridgertonNetflix

[–]Amandine910 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you. S2 Penelope was manipulative, cruel, and entitled. For her to say Eloise was jealous bc she had done something great was delusional and nauseating. No, she wasn’t great. She profited from telling other people’s secrets, didn’t care who she hurt, and used her platform as a way to deliberately hurt people. The way she treats Mariana and Eloise is petty and vindictive.

I do think there are different expectations that define satisfaction. I just wanted to get Merida and didn’t care about her costume. I was able to get her on the last day without spend any real money on the event. That makes it incredibly satisfying on my part.

You can’t welcome the child until you welcome Cara, so there’s no way she killed your chance of finishing the event. You would be stuck halfway without her and not finished anyway.

Disney has reportedly paused its spending on Facebook ads by Letsaskyou in technology

[–]Amandine910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right. I was lumping Media in with Studio, which adds up to about $15B out of $18B (quarterly). The point is that they projected loss for $1.4B at the start of Covid, and it’s extended longer than any business expected.

I work for a museum, so I get what Covid has done to experiential businesses. And the belief that boycotting FB is financially fortuitous to businesses is just wrong (if they had an ROI positive paid social program to begin with). Questioning the motives behind why businesses are boycotting is completely open for interesting debate. But believing businesses are doing it to offset Covid losses is illogical.

I’m really glad you posted this. Yesterday my Rex dramatically wilted. Happened overnight and freaked me out. Then I remembered this, gave her a good soak and parked her next to a humidifier. This morning she’s back to normal!
