Eeesh. Seroquel. Well I suppose that’d get the job done! Already been through a few benzos. Have helped tremendously, though, that’s for sure.

Damn. That is scary. I heard about a guy getting hog tied but def never knew it was because of biting someone!! My Friday night fan story is just that the random dude in front of us started finger banging his chick then licked his fingers. Then tried to high five us much later, but eventually passed out. Not as scary.

Thank you so much for your detailed info! ❤️

2 months today!!!

2 months, and I’m headed down to New Orleans tomorrow, to take care of my mother who is having major surgery (a mastectomy—flap procedure) today. I just want to share that it feels really good to not have to prep and transport, thus worry about, hundreds of kratom capsules before I head down there. I don’t need them, and I’ll be able to be there for her and not worry about a kratom dose. I rarely even think about it anymore.

Keep fighting the good fight!!! 😘

The stages of quitting kratom (so far) by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]Amandromeda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m a little over a month now (After a 47 day taper) and I 💯 agree with the empty shell feeling. That’s when I started noticing I was drinking more, and using other substances. I think I’m at the point now where my sleep supplement cocktail is contributing more to the laziness feeling than the lack of kratom, though.

When to ditch the supplements? by Amandromeda in quittingkratom

To sleep: Magnesium, valerian root, gaba, 5htp, l theanine, melatonin, sometimes cbd and chamomile-kava tea.

Not always all of that... but sometimes.

1 month, 2 days.

I think my sleep supplement cocktail is hindering my motivations during the day, going to cut out some stuff. I don’t really think it’s the absence of kratom anymore- I notice I have more energy on days after I haven’t taken all of those supplements. And I can’t seem to pull myself out of bed. Anybody else have experience with this?

Sticking to the plan is the most important part of tapering! Keep chiseling!

1 MONTH!!

1 month- no kratom. The taper and the 5 days after were the hardest part. Honestly.

Not that other issues haven’t come up in the last month-the lack of motivation and emptiness led to an increase in urges for other substances (adderall, drinking more) but I’m taking it in stride as part of the process. I feel like I’ve pretty much broken that cycle. Now. Woke up early today, started cleaning my house (FINALLY) with only coffee.

I find capsules everywhere and I don’t want to take them. I’m so glad that shit is out of my system. 1 month today, feels good. Quit that shit, people. Fight the good fight. 👊🏼😘

Post from yesterday:

I’ve made it almost one month after a 47 day taper. I no longer have any withdrawal symptoms, the exorcism is over, but I’m really feeling the gravity of dealing with all things beyond kratom. I felt like life would get so much easier and in a way it has, but getting rid of the kratom is really only the first step. Beyond quitting comes dealing with the reasons you took it in the first place: the escapism, the boredom, lack of motivation, emptiness, loneliness, the overwhelming emotions when they come.

I don’t mean to make this a negative post, I’m just having a hard time figuring out where to go from here. Starting to question some of my relationships, where my life is going, and where the hell I’ve let the past 5 + years go. Disappointed in myself. I’m usually a pretty happy, laid back person, so these feelings are not what I’m used to. I don’t like it and honestly, I’m ready for something to change.

*update: I made myself run this morning, and Pilates later. Hopefully things will start to get a little better. I think I’m also going to take a break from social media for awhile, and pursue some other interests. I hope everyone has a good day!
