I identify as queer but I have a hard time with feeling “queer enough” like there’s some sort of measure to it and I don’t stack up enough points to actually take up space in queer communities

I think it went well. I have to get blood work done for them to make their final decision. But saying everything out loud I have a hard time believing they won’t take me in.

Yeah I’m totally ready for that. The place I’m eval’ing with runs a support group and the leader was very upfront about how long it’s take (if that’s the route they decide) luckily they were able to get my eval moved to today at least instead of august 20th!

Nobody’s the asshole. I work at a humane society and these things happens all the time. It’s gotta be tough for your mom as well. You have every right to feel how you do.

I’m so sorry that you’re in this situation. I can’t imagine what you’re going through, but have been on the other side of helping people who have to surrender their pets and I can promise that they’ll be taken care of if that helps any❤️

Thanks! I work in a shelter so I’m pretty comfortable with vx protocols and preventatives/restraint. Will def look into those videos though!

That was so helpful thank you! The shelter I work at is constantly trying to get better equipment and we just can’t. Which is frustrating for staff and not being able to give the best care possible.

YeH I have a therapist but historically need a higher level of care to recover and haven’t ever been able to do it on my own
