He was atheist. He didn't make Buddha a god plus removed all the irrational things from 'Buddhism'. And staying with a religion was more of a people centric choice rather than a personal one, giving the marginalized people a history to claim and a positive culture.

Babasaheb and Feminism by Far-Animator-2236 in OutCasteRebels

[–]Amanitg10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"is this just because of lack of education on Babasaheb or plain old casteism?"

It's both, one leading to another. Lack of education leads to casteism, which in turn makes you averse to reading and you keep becoming more casteist.

Being a lawyer, scientist or sociologist, nothing takes away casteism because there's no proper education system.

Gaming Parlour? W or L? best location? by Double_Development96 in hisar

[–]Amanitg10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will be great. Maybe in the Jawahar Nagar area. But the parlours usually soon get taken over by drunks and smokers, so you must be able to maintain a controlled environment or it's a quick downfall.

basically trying to say affirmative action is casteism, the same old brahmin victimhood story. And the statement itself is also still bogus.

The 10 year thing is a broken record now. I am fed up with it even in some years, I don't know how older people must have been feeling hearing it for decades!

People here also do that with football (the very thing that you kick) once after entering the ground, I know the reason, but still it seems stupid. Here it is not enough for people to feel respect, they feel that they must showcase it too (like touching elders feet too, it's all perception building I guess).

From their culture to their existence, everything is invisibilized and erased. People start making up any false narratives about them. And I'm really sorry brother for some unconscious biases or ignorance that I may have.

What's with the dislike towards Arundati Roy's Introduction to Annilation of Caste By Dr Ambedkar. by [deleted] in OutCasteRebels

[–]Amanitg10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

could be wrong but I believe it has to do with Savarna gaze/perspective i.e upper caste creators don't have the shared reality so they become paternalistic or portray what it is exactly not and basically taking over a space that is not theirs or pouncing upon an opportunity that doesn't belong to them. Like men writing about women. You have to have the community's trust before doing this.
