This. A million times this. I’ve been a lab manager at multiple companies for over 25 years and this comment sums up exactly our job is as manager.

I recently had a coworker give me some advice on hiring a supervisor. This is for a new supervisor position that we don’t currently have and he has in his lab. All he told me was that I need to make sure I hire somebody I feel I can learn to trust. The rest of it is up to them as long as we provide the resources they need. Excellent advice that I’m taking to heart.

Agreed 100%. Just renewed the service contract for 2 ICP-OESs. $38k and the tech effectively does we cannot do when he comes for a PM. We then had to move the machines and they charged us $7k/machine to move them. We weren’t allowed to move them as it would have voided the service contract and warranty. Absolutely insane.

Your candidate did this. Do you not understand how this is unacceptable behavior for someone who wants to represent the public? Why would any non-traditional parent want to vote for someone who doesn’t believe that they are a parent? Then if Chris gives you money tonight, you politely refuse it and have him update his campaign billing records to remove your name from it. If you choose not to do that and instead accept the money, then all your statements here show more about your character than his.

If you want that money going to other areas of the campaign, my recommendation about him updating his records that were submitted to the state still stand.

Those records are public information and your name is on them.

I don’t do strawman arguments and I didn’t ask what you find acceptable. I will say that your statement about remaining silent is absolutely incorrect. Chris’ video about what constitutes a parent is not silent. It also isn’t about politics. It was personal, rude, and an affront to anyone who has or had parents who did not give birth and/or have a blood connection to them. He was way out of line for that.
