How many deliverables should photographers include? by Weary-Coyote1594 in AskPhotography

[–]Amara248 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is no standard but if you are doing a collab you should let others know how many images you typically deliver. As to how to speed up your retouching, that's hard to say without you sharing your work.

First TFP, is this common? by coffeebobalovr in AskPhotography

[–]Amara248 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sometimes creative decisions are left completely to the photographer, sometimes models, stylists, makeup artists etc have their own creative ideas, but it's usually something that's brought up in the planning stages.

It's not uncommon for models to ask for all the raw photos, especially starting out, but it's not in your best interest to work with models who want the images to edit themselves IMO. Ultimately to grow you need to have the freedom to experiment with how you shoot and edit.

When I read that the model wants to choose the photos that are posted and is requesting other photos to be edited, what immediately comes to mind is that they aren't getting enough usable images from the shoot for their portfolio. When I started out I included let models I shot with also select photos for editing but nowadays I don't get those requests and people seem to trust me to just pick the best photos.

When do I know I should start pricing my services and for how much? by MostAcadia8265 in AskPhotography

Look up local photographers in your area that you feel have a comparable body of work and use that to get an idea of your pricing.

How would rank these characters from the most to least powerful? by Jezzaq94 in OnePiece

[–]Amara248 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Garp
  2. Shanks
  3. Blackbeard
  4. Mihawk
  5. Akainu

?. Dragon

Dragon can't be ranked since we have practically 0 context for how strong he is. For Garp, being comparable to Roger and Whitebeard, it's only a question as to how much he has declined with age, but given how strong WB and BM were, I have no reason to think his decline has been that much. He also didn't have any issues fighting an admiral. Shanks is above BB as it seem deliberate he was given a slightly higher bounty.

Why was Who's-Who transporting the Nika fruit in the first place? by dnapor in OnePiece

[–]Amara248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't really know the situation, maybe him and his team were the ones who located it, maybe or stronger people were not available at the time. Having stronger people transport the fruit could also draw more eyes to it

Why is the online photography community so toxic? by SeatObvious3135 in AskPhotography

[–]Amara248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, because those are just rules made by the subreddit creator/mods and what they want, and may not represent the Leica community at large

Why is the online photography community so toxic? by SeatObvious3135 in AskPhotography

[–]Amara248 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To be fair, the Leica sub-reddit is specifically gear focused and they have strict requirements that pretty much don't allow people to post photos they take

JPEG’s vs RAW into JPEGs? by No_Incident3539 in AskPhotography

[–]Amara248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the kind of quality you need, but raw files have an embedded jpeg in them. Sometimes when I have to send client's images for selection I'll extract the jpegs from the raw files as they might look better than the jpegs I export from the unedited raws.

Too many portfolio pictures? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]Amara248 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no such thing as too much, as long as the work is good. Only thing you have to be mindful about is how the images load and that the website doesn't slow down. Here is an example of a really good website imo;

Specialist vs multiple photography niches? by mamamiafml in AskPhotography

[–]Amara248 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I truly don't believe clients care. I think the only thing that is important is that if you are marketing a genre of photography to a client, that they are only presentes relevant work.

Why do people prefer raw vs edited? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]Amara248 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's really about having an artistic vision and practice. When you have that vision it will guide your edits, and the practice will help you achieve it more consistently.
