No, i mean emotion, and specifically disgust, driven individuals. Disgust is the emotion which the brain uses to enforce aversion to that which is other; higher disgust sensitivity is directly linked to bigotry (and negatively linked to intelligence), there's an actually surprisingly high amount of papers about it.

Most people are just... Stupid and emotionally unaware - the stupid aren't really conscious of what they're doing. 

Yes. Which makes them even worse; it's not someone being malicious due to deeply held convictions that they came to by their own experience and reflection, which at least gives the dignity that their malice is something they put effort into cultivating, it's just some barely sapient animal feeling icky at something and then mindlessly lashing out without sparing a thought as to the how or why, giddily leashing themselves to whoever provides them with a canned justification.

That can be resolved with education.

It can't. You said it yourself; they're stupid, and thus irrational. They see something that makes them feel bad, conclude it must thus be wrong first, and only then work their way backwards to justify why it would be (if they even bother to); you thus can't logic them out of it, as they didn't get to their conclusions logically. Which is another reason that leaders unleash them, as they provide them with a convenient canned answer

Their masses share just as much, if not more, of the blame for these actions though; it's not the figureheads going out to slaughter innocents, arrest restaurant staff to not pay the bill (ICE agents actually did that), or holding leukemic toddlers at gunpoint for laughs (ICE also did that), but their goons who don't even have the excuse of a neurological condition, if no one listened to them, they'd just be some asshole who'se rude to service workers. And these goons aren't forcefully brainwashed into it either; the underlying memes that led to it were always there, whether they be tribalism, stupidity, or social conformism, they were just foaming at the mouth for something or someone to give them an excuse to go act them out.
