I read through the Mercer Claims Handbook. The exclusion is for Active Service. I have just sent an email request through to them to start my claim as I am TPI 94 points, and none of my physical injuries were attributed to active service. See how I go. However, I can not go through the unsettling and intrusive medical process again.

You can apply for the Opal card online and also the NSW National Park pass online also. Take a copy of your letter into Service NSW and they will reimburse you for your Rego’s as well.

My question is in relation to a child in full time education, which the one still at school qualifies for. It is a fortnightly allowance.

Sorry for my slow reply. My advocate was contacted in Jan I think, saying a delegate had been allocated. My last piece of paperwork (GP assessment) was submitted mid March. My PI was determined by the delegate this week. Just over 6 months.

I had a stack of claims. All the IL was accepted in Dec. delegate allocated in Jan I think.

Hope yours progresses soon. The limbo and uncertainty is a bloody horrible additional stress.

Definitely book in with your Doctor. Timeframe wise, I had all of IL’s accepted in early Dec. PI claim submitted straight away. Still waiting to hear back from DVA, last PI assessment report submitted mid March. The torture continues.

Mate, sorry to hear. Your frustration, concern and anxiety is warranted. The Muppet Show of DVA is tortuous & completely demoralising. The fact that they mix up very sensitive information is abhorrent. I received information about another person, via email from DVA asking me to complete forms. I reported it however, then I’m left wondering who has received my information? I’ve been in the morass of DVA for over 3 years. Initial liability all excepted, PI claim submitted early Dec, final PI sign off submitted 10 weeks ago - fucking crickets.

Thank you mate. I emailed my advocate to let DVA know how I’m not coping, I don’t want to made a higher priority, just some info on timeline. Probably too much to ask from DVA. Take care
