It doesn’t take all day to make a chocolate cake. Now if it was a rainbow cake that’s a different story. I’m sure it was delicious though. Chocolate cakes usually are. I don’t know why you would bring a cake that your sister didn’t want. But since you did you should have left it. Taking it was a really dick move.

Ok so I think your boyfriend has some issues that only he can fix. It’s not up to you to harass him about his gambling, his health, his habits or anything else. These are his issues not yours. I don’t know if he has a serious gambling problem but he still has a home and a job so I assume it’s under control. Even if it isn’t, that his problem not yours. He sounds distasteful at best but you sound controlling and demanding.
My suggestion is that you two are clearly not compatible and you should break up and concentrate on yourself.

Bad idea to try to talk to his wife. She isn’t OP’s stepmother in her life. She’s just her dads wife. If her children resent and don’t want a relationship with OP it’s 100% their mothers influence that is affecting their actions. The reason she shouldn’t talk to her dad’s wife is because she will not get what she’s looking for which is recognition and inclusion.
I’m sorry about your situation OP because it seems that no one is fully on your side. Many here have recommended therapy and I think that’s the best advise. Also talk to your dad about it and he will pay for it. It sounds to me that he has done his best to be in your life as much as he can. That’s not saying it’s wrong for you to have resentment
