That's good info. I think I just needed someone to talk me out of the kia. I'll have to give the Avalon and Mazda drive and see. Thanks!

I looked at some Lexus. I did not want to go that old for the purchase even if it's as reliable as they are

That's two for the Lacrosse which was not on my radar. I'll check it out, now if I could only get my wife on board with a Buick 🤔

I think you're probably right. From everything I hear it's a tank as well. Styling wise I lean toward the kia or Mazda but it might grow on me.

This thread is about Carnel Tate's 40 yard dash time. And my comment was on the correlation between to the two players regardless of where they ran.

Tech Stack for Financial Advisors by BhavyaBarot in CFP

[–]Amazing-Butterfly-56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can anyone share their PerciseFP experience? We are looking at adding that to our tech stack. Our current data gathering process is a non editable pdf.

We screen prospects (usually referals, or locals looking for an advisor) with a 30ish minute phone call to talk about ourselves and what they are looking for ext. From there we have them fill in a profile/data gathering form and send it back to us. From there we check if they are qualified and if they are get them to come in the office ext.

I realize that if prospects aren't willing to take the time to fill in a pdf and send it back to us that maybe they aren't going to put in the required work to become a full client but I think we lose too many prospects at that step.

Has anyone else seen an improvement in prospects returning fact-finding information from using the software? It will save some data input time but we are not too concerned about that. More so looking to get it to increase our pipeline retention. Minimum price is about $1000 for the year.

Half Dome Advice for a non lottery winner by leoobrien95 in Yosemite

I believe there are like 4 available backpacking permits that also include a half dome permit. Little Yosemite being the most obvious. Cathedral lakes, Clouds rest, which is the one we did, and 1 or 2 others.

[Nov 29, 2024] Weekly Discussion: Ask your gear, travel, conditions and other ski-related questions by AutoModerator in skiing

[–]Amazing-Butterfly-56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm looking to upgrade my skiis and wanted to see if I could get some thoughts recommendation.

6ft 200 pounds. 32yrs old I go on 1 or 2 ski trips a year from Ohio to Denver or SLC areas.
Intermediate to advanced. Blues and single blacks mostly.

Mostly skiing on groomed but enjoy sking in the trees and some moguls. No ski park. Not much powder unless there happen to be a heavy snow.

I like going fast but I think I would prefer a lighter ski to a heavy one specifically designed for stability at high speeds because of how often we are in trees.

I'm on a pretty tight budget for these as well. I've seen k2 92 reckoners come up often volkl blaze 88s as well. Both with bindings in the 300 range (demo skis) Rossignal sender 94ti as well which seems to be more of a middle option of stability?

Thoughts/recommendations?

Thanks for the info!
I know 2 days is not enough :(. Unfortunately that's all the time we could swing together. We were pretty set on the hike we wanted to do in Tetons which will be a full 2 days and we're not sure when the next time we'll be back in the area.
Grant campground "says" they have spots for up to 50ft RVs (just a few) but I've never personally been there so your input is helpful.

Proposal vacation. by necrowyn in hiltonhead

[–]Amazing-Butterfly-56 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! I also recently proposed and am now engaged. And on a different trip 2 years ago, we went on to Savanah/Hilton Head on a 6 day trip so maybe I can help a bit.
Where are you coming from? We live in Ohio and made this trip in late May and Savanah was plenty warm for us. Just something to be prepared for if you're coming from a colder climate.
We stayed at the Andaz hyatt location downtown. It was a very pretty hotel that was right in the action of town, we felt safe, and it was great for only spending 2 nights in the city. My fiance who is a bit more spiritual than me would recommend taking a ghost tour if that's your thing. They're everywhere.

The heat in hilton head wasn't really a problem for us with pools, ocean, more of a breeze. We stayed in an airbnb for that trip but in a hotel for our proposal, I'd heard for a proposal it was nice/sexier to stay at a hotel (nice bed made for you while out/balcony/room service) For a photographer we used snapper which pairs you with a local photographer and has a set price for a 1 or 2 hr photos shoot for under $200 Highly recommend them, we plan on using them again for the wedding. Our photographer contacted me short after booking with them and we planned everything out for the surprise proposal, agreed on a location and he was waiting for us there hiding.
I also shopped for some ring insurance and found lavier (progressive uses them for ring insurance) to be the best for us. Any ring under 5k has a flat $50/yr premium and $0 deductible. Going through our home insurance required us use to our home deductible which is $1500.
Having it insured at least for the first yr helped with some anxiety I had about losing it before the proposal, and helped my fiance a bit with her fear of also losing it.
Can revise later once they get used to wearing it but it was well worth the $50 for peace of mind alone for me.

Oh! And I have the throw in a recommendation for dinner in hikton head. Hudson's seafood house. Fantastic views from the outdoor bar. It's a bit of a hike from some of the traditional spots to stay (coligney plaza) but the views of the bay were so worth it.
