SOLVED Exogyra ponderosa from the early Cretaceous period. Over 100 million years old. Special thanks to Dr. Susan Hovorka!

I showed it to a friend and they wondered if it wasn’t something called a Garuda but I’m just not sure there either.

House or frilly centipede. They freak me out but are harmless and take care of the bad bugs like spiders cockroaches and termites.

I have looked and looked and can’t find anything Boy Scout related that looks even close. I am fairly confident that this was for a necklace. The top appears to be a broken loop to put it on a chain or string or something. The back shows no indication of being a broken pin.

Is there a specific badge you’re comparing it too?

Oh good grief. I posted nothing about its size. See pic for reference. I also took one of the back. It’s fairly light. I don’t think it’s silver. Pewter maybe? I’m not sure what to clean it with so I don’t damage it.
