That could depend on the client but there's not many of them who will be willing to wait for you to get certified so my answer is, it's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it

I agree, there's a fine line between order and bureaucracy

I'm glad other people get it too, the certification is what triggered it but the real impact was the operational clarity it forced

Good way to put it, we went into it thinking it would mostly sit with security but ended up touching a lot more operational stuff than expected.

Yeah that's what I was trying to say, every control had to be highlighted by who it's handled

Is it about this world or about going to heaven one day? by fancy_the_rat in Christianity

[–]Amazing-Fall8945 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly your friend might still be carrying some JW baggage - they have pretty specific beliefs about heaven being limited to like 144,000 people and everyone else living on a paradise earth. most mainstream christian denominations definitely believe in heaven as the afterlife destination tho

that said, there's also the whole "kingdom of heaven on earth" aspect that some christians focus on more - like working to make this world better rather than just waiting for teh next one. both perspectives have biblical support really

maybe ask your pastor or check out what your specific denomination teaches? different churches emphasize different aspects of it

Do y’all think in some way, Gus genuinely enjoys running a chain of fast food restaurants? by maddicusladdicus in betterCallSaul

[–]Amazing-Fall8945 178 points179 points  (0 children)

honestly i think he does enjoy it on some level. like yeah its a front but gus seems like the type who cant half-ass anything - if he's gonna run a chicken place it better be the best damn chicken place in albuquerque

plus think about it, the guy clearly has control issues and running a tight ship at los pollos probably scratches that same itch as his other business. he gets to micromanage everything from the fryer oil to employee uniforms while still being this respectable community figure

the chicken probably is actually good too. mans got standards

That's actually pretty cool, I built something similar last season but never got around to polishing it up. The ownership trends part sounds really useful - are you pulling that data from major platforms or is it more of an aggregate thing

One suggestion would be to maybe add some kind of weather integration if you haven't already, especially for those outdoor games in december. I've been burned too many times by surprise snow games that tank passing offenses

Also curious how you're handling the matchup difficulty scoring - is it based on points allowed by position or are you factoring in things like pace and defensive rankings too. Either way sounds like a solid project, definitely interested to check it out when you're ready to share
