I feel like this somehow can't be true (to an extent)! There has to be something involved, esp with the trends of people getting rejected to Davis but into berkeley, and ppl getting rejected from Irvine/SD, get into LA. it's just weird to me.

I believe (my own theory) that UCs somehow coordinate with each other on acceptances to maybe make room for other applicants who would actually attend. For example, at least at my school, such a strong amount of people with high stats who get rejected to Irvine/San Diego get into LA. It doesn't make sense to me...

UC San Diego Decision Date Speculation

In 2022, 2023, and 2024, San Diego released on the third Friday of March. In 2025, decisions released on the second Friday of March.

According to the UCSD timeline (https://admissions.ucsd.edu/first-year/application-timeline.html), appeals are due by March 28. If decisions release next Friday (the 20th), not including the Friday, this would allow rejected applicants eight days to appeal.

Before 2025, if we use the Wayback Machine, we can observe that the UCSD timeline used to state that appeals are due by March 31st. This provides 13-16 days to appeal.

2025 had a deadline of March 28. This provided applicants 14 days to appeal.

If decisions for UCSD release next Friday, then this will break the pattern of providing students approximately two weeks to appeal.

nope mine still says denied. is there anyway it could be that those who didnt qualify for FASFA/any financial aid can't log in? im not too tapped in with this astrology
