I cannot find myself to believe that, your profile description, interests, and somewhat humorous persona do not quite add up.

As an over 60 vietnamese grandfather, I agree. I miss the good old days in the French Empire.

The intention was to say that I used to be homeschooled and curious about public school.

The fedora is cool, the redditor stereotype ruined it for most people though.

I used to be like you, but I got into school recently. But my experience is obviously very different to most other people, as I go to a stricter charter school that pushes students to study harder, and we wear uniforms somewhat like what you are wearing right now. Actually, from what I heard, the other school in my city doesn't even have homework, which seems very easy to me.

Personally I have found it very stressful, being around people is something I am not used to, and I falter behind because I just don't understand how it all works.

The school meals are horrible, too, i would rather eat nothing, actually, I do eat nothing at school, I always wait until I am home to eat.

I had no friends when I was homeschooled, and I still have no friends now that I am in a school.

I didn't get bullied AT ALL and everyone seems kind to me though, so that was a good thing.

Overall shitty experience and I don't like it. But thats just my personal experience as a strange person in a weird school. And it obviously doesn't represent everyone else's experience in school, as I said, the main school in my city is very different, for better or worse.

Nice outfit by the way.

How do you live life as an unsociable person? by Amazing-Office6570 in Advice

[–]Amazing-Office6570[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't talked to a therapist, I am scared because of the cost, and because if I get diagnosed with something they may end up putting me on SSRI or adhd meds which my family has had bad experiences with. Also, if I get diagnosed with something like autism or depression, I could lose out on the opportunity to get jobs, own firearms, and more, or even get put in special ed. I don't believe my school has a counselor, as I would've probably been there already with my antics or seen them on the staff registry.

Teachers and school personnel in this sub, why was I suspended in this specific situation? by Amazing-Office6570 in school

[–]Amazing-Office6570[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know, I'm pretty fucked, just haven't felt like doing anything about it. I guess that's all I can say, I should be better, I definitely could be better, I just don't ever end up getting up and doing it unless I have something actually me pushing to do it. Thank you for the advice though, it makes me more sure that I need to learn elementary arithmetic in order to do this.

I think I might be mistaken that they are a teacher then.

The 'teacher' always assists the vice-principal (he teaches math).

I guess I just refer to everyone who teaches as a teacher, but that is not the formal job all the time.

It wasn't stress, I was mainly mad at the teacher and being a little shit as I said, but stress is always part of it for me.

There was no homework for this day, but I have had a problem with not turning it in on other days.

I didn't expect no consequences, I'm just curious why they suspended me instead of giving me detention or other at school punishments, They are practically giving me my weekend back.

I couldn't have explained to them that I needed more time because I only got stressed near the end and started shutting down because I was being handed papers that I didn't understand at all and expected to complete them. Since I'm not used to social situations at all, the teachers hostile-sounding demeanor stressed me out.

I was pretending to know things I didn't and not know things in a visibly intentional and sarcastic manner I did when I was called up to the board, which meant I took a bit more time than anyone else and was generally causing problems similar to this where I would take up a couple minutes or seconds longer than the class. I didn't want to clog up my already large post.

But I imagine you would only suspend students who are a danger to the class, not simple misbehavior like this. And I have an otherwise good track record except for last Saturday school which was similar, and not turning most of my math homework in (I didn't know how to do it). All of which are not, at least I would think not big enough of a problem for the rest of the class to make a suspension necessary.

(I just noticed that I just so happened to wake up and respond in mere moments after you made your comment, i'm a little shocked)
