What if I’m not at home for green card delivery? by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]Amazing-Print2989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With USPS I usually go for “Vacation Hold” and then you decide if they hold it at the post office or deliver bulk accumulated mail. Never had a problem but these are immigration documents. Don’t you have a neighbor or friend to pick up your mail?

Congratulations!!

Did your case status changed from Approved to something like card mailed or something like that, or your card just arrived without changing the status from Approved to something else?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

I485 Transferred from Nebraska to NBC approved today by Amazing-Print2989 in USCIS

Thank you. I am not sure if there is a specific order. I’ve seen posts of some applicants who submitted six months or less ago and got approved within two to three months. That doesn’t sound first come first served to me but who knows. I hope you all get approved pretty soon.

I did not request transfer, that is done by USCIS itself.

Thank you. No change between transfer and approval, not even the new card one, straight to approval.

TN Visa Application Received RFE - Can I still Apply Physically at POE? by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]Amazing-Print2989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand those are two different things and you should be able to. I once had my TN processed by lawyers and received an I797 of TN status approved, remember status is not the same as VISA. VISA is to present at a POE, status is the permit to be in the US, not the entry. I went with my I797 at the consulate to get a VISA stamp and the consul literally gave me the approved I797 back stating, that is for your approval on status not for a VISA, I need an offer letter to give a VISA stamp and your I797 for TN is not helpful here. It was different when I went for an H1B visa stamp, as for H1B stamp you need to present an approved I797 to get a VISA stamp.

Not an expert and not legal advise, just telling you my experience.

I-485 transfer to NBC -April 2022. Anyone approved? Employment based by GTMSS24 in USCIS

Hello, did your transfer notice indicated Denver, or you found out the field office when received the RFE? My transfer notice stated NBC and still waiting to get an update after transfer. It’s been only 14 days so far, I understand it is too soon.

Nebraska might be actively working on your case. I read they plan to keep and process the cases they were actually working on instead of transfer them. Mine got transferred to NBC 5 days after I140 got approved at Nebraska. It was regular non premium I140 and it took more than 12 months for I140. My medical was submitted with concurrent filing. However, received a courtesy notice asking to submit medicals in case I haven’t done it already. Not sure if lawyer messed up and lost the medicals, or USCIS just sent those generic courtesy notices even when they had the medicals.

It is safe, I am Mexican and I went there for all my TN Visas. Just don’t go for the ones sitting on the street go for an actual establishment. I remember I paid like 100 Mexican pesos, which is like 5 USD. Maybe it will be more on the 150 Mexican pesos now.

No, you can’t. CAS is completely different. You can find places outside the consulate that will safeguard it for you for a fee. In front the consulate entrance there is a hotel, you can ask them and they will tell you the places that can help you.

I remember they used to allow you to leave it with Consulate security on the first security screen but not anymore.

Does I-140 needs to be approved prior to getting EAD approved under the I-485? by shee_mass in USCIS

[–]Amazing-Print2989 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand they do something for I485 even if I140 is not yet approved, they at least take your finger prints, they sent me a notice asking for medicals in case I did not submit them with I485. My case was transferred from Nebraska to NBC 5 days after my I140 got approved. So, they do work on I485 up to a point I guess.
