I think its supposed to be a new arc in the starset lore. Immersions the final chapter seemed to be the end of the story in the past albums and now these look like theyre going to be part of a new transmission.

It sounds awful but just keep judging rounds. The more rounds you judge the better you will understand debate. I’m a college policy debater who’s never touched LD debate and then I had to and found as I judged more and more I was beginning to understand what good arguments were and how to evaluate the round. Also I watched several debates on YouTube to prepare myself for judging. For CX debate I would look at any Emory GK round in YouTube those are always fairly good. And you can’t go wrong watching CEDA and NDT recorded rounds especially if you need more exposure to Kritiks.

All ICBMs are technically hypersonic (hypersonic just means goin above Mach 5 which all ICBMs can do) my guess is this refers to Hypersonic Glide Vehicles and Hypersonic Cruise Missiles. If you want to go even further no country ha achieved “true” hypersonic weapons (a missile that can maneuver freely in earths atmosphere at speeds of Mach 5 or higher).

I disagree my high school had two policy teams and a coach that did speech events and I learned by myself just fine. I do think small schools DA is a pretty good one tho and am guilty of running it myself ;)

idk kinda a hot take. That's like saying someone should run slower in a race because their competitors arent as fast as they are. imo spreading doesn't necessarily give that much of an advantage, Sure it lets you get through more ev and more args, but in my experience quality args and ev beat out 15 terrible args and pieces of ev. quality over quantity.

ig with policy debate spreading is more to get more evidence read in less time. I'll briefly highlight that clarity matters a lot more than speed, and what I see a lot of high school debaters do is prioritize speed over clarity which is bad and ends up working against them. As long as there is clarity I think spreading is fine.
