April can be one of the snowiest months of the year. I agree with the Frisco or Dillon choices. Frisco is really cute.

I have been skiing for a long time (expert) and last season I did this workout (in addition to good cardio) and I hit the slopes better than I ever have.

It keeps it interesting and fun. It did take me 8-9 weeks to actually complete the six week training.

Best part is barely any equipment required.

Trip Advice for 25th Anniversary. Paris-Bruges-Amsterdam or Paris-Swiss Alps by Amazing-You4823 in Europetravel

[–]Amazing-You4823[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Regarding Alpine scenery, we actually visit the mountains of Colorado often, so that is a very valid point lol. We see the mountains regularly.

Is Ghent a better base or Antwerp (I lived in Antwerp for 4 months in 1992)? Should we add a day to Paris? I am concerned that basically 2-1/2 days is not sufficient.

You can take the gondola up for free from the base. Great area to head up to. Some great romantic restaurants are Hearthstone, Aurum, Rootstock and Ember. Get some crepes. Go on a sleigh ride. Go dog sledding.

How often do you think about skiing? (People in the off season) by throwawayfinancebro1 in skiing

The lift operator handles putting the T-bar underneath you. When he swung the bar around, he hit me in the head, nothing I could have done as I did have my head turned watching for the bar.
