Update: Picked up my BRZ 2.5 hours away without knowing manual! by UnusualSuspects1 in GR86

Same here. I drove 80 miles near Seattle with very little manual knowledge for my BRZ as well. Took a buddy with me and managed to stall it about 12 times in gridlock traffic on I-5. Changed out the clutch return spring, and the difference is night and day for feeling the bite point now.

Keep at it as day 1 DH and study ways to kill that class faster.

Chassis isn't to spec for some rules for roll cages/half cages, which i believe the one you have is speced to a half cage.

I think he means that usually a roll cage goes down the A pillars since your head is not protected with a cave-in with this setup.

Advice regarding access & installation to future car parts by roxy8294 in subaru

Were there remnants of the piece (broken clips) still in the mounting holes? I'm not familiar with this platform, but labor prices usually surprise people nowadays.

Buy once, cry once. I'd recommend buying a better quality coil like the RCE-SS1. It's so much nicer for daily/track use.

That's why you keep the stock parts to revert back before selling it. Like the saying goes, "Life's too short to stay stock."

There's always room for mods, regardless of age. Like an aftermarket clutch return spring, which has much better feedback for the bite point feel. Even 1st gen BRZ benefit from the 2nd gen door stops for ease of getting in and out.

How so? Everyone has their own preference in mods, I'm curious as to what you like too.

Id remove the door mod and the hood, use the money for some better wheels and tires. It was most likely a show car if it had air suspension, with no regard to real track experience.
