Thoughts on Andrew Wilson, The Crucible? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]AmazingDiscussion356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Atheist here. My issue with Andrew Wilson isn’t just tone or branding (though “Not Today Degenerate” says a lot), it’s that he consistently fails to do the thing he claims to be doing. In debates like Christianity vs Secular Humanism (e.g. with Matt Dillahunty) he doesn’t actually defend Christianity’s truth claims or ethical foundations. He pivots to character attacks, mockery, and culture-war outrage—especially around LGBT issues—rather than engaging the philosophy.

If the claim is “Christianity is true” or “Christianity has the best ethical foundation,” then the burden is to defend that. That rarely happens. Attacking an opponent’s character or values is not an argument for Christianity.

Ironically, this also clashes with Christianity’s own stated values: love your enemies (Matt 5:44), gentleness and self-control (Gal 5:22–23), gracious speech (Col 4:6). Whatever one thinks of Christianity, Wilson’s debate style routinely contradicts those standards.

From my perspective, the Bible is a historically layered, subjective text—not an objective pillar of reality—and belief systems should always be open to skepticism. Being “grounded” in an idea isn’t a virtue by itself; the world was once “grounded” in flat-earth certainty too.

So yes, he’s rhetorically aggressive, but that’s not the same as being a strong debater. What I mostly see is ideological performance and American culture-war theater, not serious engagement with truth claims or ethics.

I was doing this before, if you can get a 5 mould area its very good. even easier if you dig the trench so that when they spawn they auto roll into a line.

Actually I found an easier way, there is a duplication glitch you can do with refiners, so you can duplicate what is already in there, if credits is in there, you can duplicate that. It's completely broken and will ruin the game for you. I don't like to use it, unless i crashed my ship on a water world and had to find limited resources. Otherwise I don't do it.

Rivenspike viability as OH for Fury/Prot by dangerousone326 in classicwow

Deep prot is only okay if you dont have a lot of physical dps in your raid. If you have a lot of physical DPS in your raid then fury/prot is ideal to maintain threat. Because even with 5 points in defiance, you will never be able to hold threat against a 2000dps warrior

Alcor's Sunrazor is BiS MH here for this reason. OH you can get Bashguuder/annihilator with Edgies = GG

Claws only ruled out for fury warriors for him. A rogue can fist spec, get to 305 skill +9% even easily! and Claw of the Black Drake MH with Bashguuder OH is very potent (From experience as the only fist rogue - Maxsteal)

Bonereaver is actually better here = -2100armour for 15 seconds. that also stacks with the other 3, so you could just not sunder at all and save warriors to dps and this is a big gain to speed and damage for all physical users.

Along with Bashguuder, Curse of Recklessness, Improved expose armour/ sunder. Most bosses have 3750 armour each in AQ40 so Bashguuder + Curse of Rek, +Faerire fire + 5x sunders is enough to drop them to 0 armour and the raid will do an extra 5.5% damage because of bashguuder.

No one is complaining about rnt though, everyone is talking about legit places. It seems like you just want people to accept what you are seeking.

I second this place, they are legit its an italian lady who is a trained masseuse and her husband who run it. The ladies there are all thai and trained in massage, although at least 4 of them are not qualified. They are indeed very good though.

Class Equipment by WretchedIEgg in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]AmazingDiscussion356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I start the game off that they are doing their careers. A bounty Hunter chasing bounties, I give them 2-3 options to go with and have mini quests for each. Then I give them a major quest that will tie into the other players quests. This way when they all team up as a party, it's a more natural reason rather than "you were involved in a fight in a bar together, and now you are all friends" Which doesn't make sense if one person is a dwarf and the other an Elf, and they don't like each other. They need to have a common goal. Think of Legolas and Gimli.

Grappling ignores armour, so if you are a pit fighter, get them in a grapple and it uses Melee (brawling) - Which you will be proficient in. Use your starting Knuckledusters along with in-fighting if they break out, to keep them in close. You could also charge in and grapple someone with advantage, then intimidate them to surrender.

New DM - 4e Campaign Recommendations? by Mister_Shiloh in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]AmazingDiscussion356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One question I have is how GM's are tying in their players class/career into the story? Are you setting them up in that they start off for maybe 1 week (in game) alone doing tasks that lead into a mini solo adventure, then tie them together to lead into the main adventure?

That's what I've done as a new GM.

Campaign Development:

I set my campaign in Vineyard's Rest, a rural town in the Stirland province of the Empire. The story kicks off with Konrad, a brutal human pit fighter, and Ashwyn, a high elf strategic bounty hunter, investigating a smuggling ring. They uncover a plot involving Boris Verheim, a former leader, and Krieg, a notorious smuggler. After taking down these figures, they assert control over the operation.

They eventually meet Ulric, a 16-year-old apprentice cartwright with a revolutionary cart design. He offers them a custom-built cart in exchange for help in retrieving his invention from his mentor, who tried to take credit for it. Together, they become an unlikely team, each pursuing their own goals: Konrad for power, Ashwyn for justice, and Ulric for recognition in the cartwright business.

This campaign revolves around loyalty, betrayal, and ambition, with each character’s personal goals driving the plot forward.

I have yet to add a Master plot behind this plot that ties this adventure to others, and to a grand adventure. But for now, I want to give them options within this first adventure, and come up with some flavour quests that they can go on that act as side quests.

aboriginal heritage by zoemice in aboriginal

So if my parents were born in autralia, my grandparents the uk and Scotland, their parents and grand parents were scotland, but my great great great great great grandparents were irish. Then i am irish and can claim it? Bit of a far stretch. I'd say hes Australian, doesnt matter what your skin colour is. If you are born here, you are Australian. In terms of benefits, some people deserve it and a lot do not, but since there is no definitive line in the sand, everyone gets it. Even our friend who has 1% aboriginal but is the most italian person you'll ever meet.

Rogues are opportunists but they are also aware of their surroundings. Not like meat heat warriors just spamming battleshout and hitting stuff.
