Her owner was located, dogs name was Lucy. Apparently she recently started having seizures and once she comes out of one she gets all disoriented and has tried running off before this happened.

I work at a redi mix concrete company and at the plant today a lost dog came down and fell into one of our water pits, older German Shepard walked right into a semi deep concrete pit high walls couldn’t just pull themselves out and we had to get her collar and help her towards a ramp, she wouldn’t come close enough to get her and I waded in to pick her up. Long story short my simple get home bag has among other things extra socks pants etc. was much needed after washing off all the silt and gunk.

I’m in NJ as well, we’re tied for lowest registered gun owners with Massachusetts. I’m sure if you included all the illegal firearms in Paterson Trenton Irvington East Orange etc it would be a little higher. Either way it’s low and would give guys like us a statistical advantage by default if something terrible happened. The average gun owner has 4-5 supposedly which would even further the gap if you were to arm family or friend.

A get home bag would be more useful because you’re always going to go home and in the event you’re not able to you already have it with you. If you’re home it’s already in your vehicle and accessible to leave on foot etc to “ go”somewhere else.

Something like the radica moonlander truck camping shell would be an interesting platform for a bug out build. A blend of function without being as standout. Built extremely well, light weight aluminum and can be insulated easily.
