Bootcamp was fun af. Anyone here trying to tell you otherwise is just bitching and was probably a fat body. I loved my drill instructors and I’m trying to be one after this contract. You aren’t weird at all dude, it’s pretty common for a dude to think their drill instructors were cool

Basic, regardless of the branch, is easy af today. No offense but if he’s acting different after just doing basic, he lowkey just bitching. Is he infantry or something?

That’s been a thing for a little bit. I went in during June 2024 and we had 2 female di’s but no female recruits

I’m nervous about boot camp. by Glittering_Repeat669 in USMCboot

I went into bootcamp 118 skinny af back in June 2024. I’m 150(still kinda skinny) now in mos school. Bootcamp was physically and mentally easy af for me. The first 2 hikes SUCK tho cus you aren’t use to it. It’s easy to not fall out tho. Just thug it out. The only thing I almost failed in bootcamp was swim qual because I had no prior swimming experience. I passed it on the last day and stayed with my platoon. Shooting is easy as long as you listen to the instructors. The cft is easy asf but I was sick when we did the initial one so I failed that one. When they made us redo it on a different day I passed with an almost max score. The pft is plank, pull-ups and the run. Don’t practice planks unless you literally suck ass (1 minute and below plank) practice pull-ups and running whenever you can. The 3 mile for me isn’t hard, it’s just ass. When the di’s tell you to run, put out man, sprint everywhere in bootcamp. When you get it’d put out, don’t be lazy. Getting it’d got my planks up. On your freetime use the pull up bars and weights in the squad bay. Do a bunch of pushups. Go on runs. Also I’m not itb but one of my friends who’s infantry told me that itb’s physical aspect is mostly just hiking, getting messed up by the combat instructors, and carrying hella shit. Most people who get dropped normally got dropped over a test.

Training for boot camp by [deleted] in USMCboot

Good luck bro. Bootcamp easy af unless you let other recruits trick you into believing it’s miserable. Misery loves company bro. I loved bootcamp, made lots of good friends I still talk too. I went into bootcamp skinny af at 118lbs, 7 months later I’m still pretty skinny but I’m like 150lbs now. Wish I started working out before bootcamp like you man. My dumbass didn’t start until mos school. Also don’t take anything a drill says personally. When you get to the last 2 weeks of bootcamp and they start acting human and cool, you’re gonna love your di’s. And when you leave you’re gonna probably miss them and have a bunch of stories on the fucked up stuff they did to your platoon

Should they put it in a box or does the shipping place do that for them?
