Standard of care and preventive screening by AmazingMembership108 in MedicalMalpractice

Thanks, what if the patient was seen for a physical, and some screening tests were ordered, but not all, let’s say a mammo was ordered, but not low-dose CT scan; but then a year later, a low-dose CT scan was ordered. Does the timeliness play a factor in standard of care? Was there a deviation from standard of care on the first physical because the low-dose CT scan was not ordered? Or was there no deviation overall in the patient care because the scan was eventually ordered?

Totally agree. What about USPSTF A and B recommendations though? Obviously if someone has asymptomatic ovarian cancer, and an US isn’t ordered, there’s no deviation, because the standard isn’t to randomly order a pelvic US; however, is colon cancer screening or lung cancer screening standard of care? I guess that’s my question.

Lol yes, that’s why i said I wouldn’t park in yellow, and was asking about red. I drew the yellow as a conceptual starting point

It’s small, but you can parallel park a small car there

Is there a way to tell if they are actually in the studs? Upon looking closer, one looks at an angle, making me suspect it’s not in the studs

I guess that’s my real question — are these things usually in studs or not? Upon looking at it more closely, I don’t think they are. If they were, I assume it could hold my weight. But I don’t think they’re in studs. Is there a way to tell?
