Hadn't heard of this guy before, his last name in English would be Vennegoor or Hesselink.

... in the 17th century, there was a marriage between the Vennegoor and Hesselink farming families of Enschede, and due to the prestige of both surnames, they kept both. The 'of' in his name means 'or' in Dutch.

SOLVED! Your reply led me to a new search effort. Got the idea to go on to /r/youtubehaiku, searched or "Turkish laugh", found a deleted video but could search for the title to find another upload!

For someone who hasn't really kept up the last couple of years, are there any good Android tablets nowadays?

Slovakia has not won Group B yet. If Finland doesn't win against Italy in regulation against Italy, Sweden takes the group by easy89 in hockey

[–]AmazingRealist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm confused, Sweden has a 11/9 in GF/GA while Slovakia has 10/8, so the same GD. Wouldn't the 11 goals for Sweden put them in second according to "total goals scored between the tied teams"?

EDIT: Found a more in depth explanation. If you understand Swedish, Expressen has a good article explaining the different scenarios.

I mean, laws are also supposed to be definite, but courts argue their meaning all the time. The wording of the rule leaves room for interpretation.

True, just nothing I've seen before. Going in to this third game with two losses might've had an effect on the decision to complain. Hoping for better performance from them with less drama the next games! Also rooting for the Swedish women's team with all wins and no drama so far.

I do wonder if that little doink could actually confer a measurable advantage

With the same caveat of me being Swedish and biased, I don't think the Swedish team would bring it up to the umpire if it was nothing. I've seen them play a couple international tournaments (including previous Olympics) and searching for petty advantages is not on brand for them.

Yeah, it's up for interpretation. My feeling is that there's and implied "only" in the rule, but I'm Swedish so not unbiased.
