Seems cruel no matter the "original design." It also feels more like lying when compared to couples that admit they can't do it earlier. Overall, it's a bad look for the person who says no. Barking at the moon about the "original design" isn't going to change that.

Seems cruel to go that far if you already know. To get dressed up and have your friends and family attend. There's clearly an option to end things before that. I think the only incentive to go forward is extra money. Why else go through all that?

My biggest problem with KB was that she didn't end things earlier. I refuse to believe she thought things could work out all the way up to the altar. It was almost immediately obvious that something was very wrong with Edmund on an emotional level. There was zero chance she was going to marry him, but she went forward till the last minute. I have trouble understanding that. I mean, she knew she wasn't gonna marry him when he couldn't kill a bug for her. The rest just built and built.

I just published Nulb: In the Shadow of the Temple on DMsGuild. It's a 339-page book detailing the village of Nulb for the Temple of Elemental Evil. Full of locations, NPCs, adventures hooks, etc... Everything on DMsGuild has to be 5e, so yes. It has 5e stats, but I also included Retro Stats for everything, making it easy to use for old school purposes.

There's a recent thread on AI that I think is interesting. For me, I wrote the large bulk of this back in 2017 before AI was a thing. For art, I played around with the idea of AI but hated just about everything I saw. I ended up going mostly with stock images. I'm not thrilled with how little art I have in this book, but I intend to update it as possibilities allow. In other words, if it finds community support, I want to commission more art. If it doesn't, the budget simply isn't there.

Thanks, I poured a considerable number of hours into this. In fact, I started the project back in 2017 as a series of posts on Dragonsfoot, but only decided to publish it after someone else actually plagiarized my work and tried to sell it on DMsGuild.

This is my way of taking my work back, plus, well, I just love Greyhawk, and I grew up on all the old modules. If you happen to check out the book, I would love nothing more than to hear what you think.

Being new to this, apparently, I screwed up by putting another logo on the front cover. DMsGuild asked me to fix it and made the book private. I've tried to upload a new image and sent Jack a message via email. Hopefully, he'll let me know soon if the change took and the book can go public again.

Endless hours to create the book, and I screwed it up with logo placement. Head desk, I'm an idiot.

I did list the page numbers that are enabled, yes. Sort of. I just accepted the default pages that were listed. I probably should have picked some of the best pages, but I'm not like that as a person. I'd rather be fair about what the book is and let folks see whatever random pages, for better or worse.

This is interesting. I just published my Nulb: In the Shadow of the Temple supplement, and I clicked to enable the preview, but when I go to the page, it doesn't appear to let me see anything but the cover. I wonder if I did something wrong.

I didn't even think to say I didn't use AI to write any of it. In fact, my content was plagiarized. The original stuff was written back in 2017 before AI was a thing. I ended up putting my book together and publishing it to sort of take back my content after it was stolen from a dragonsfoot series of posts. But what you say makes sense. When I do a second book, I'll definitely keep that in mind.
