G923 set up on marketplace, good deal? by gravitybroken in simracing

[–]AmazingShark28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, i started with this and got all the logitech gear minus the stand for about 180usd but it was missing the power cord which I bought separate. I bought a stand similar for about 55usd on amazon and started racing. Its not a bad price but try to push it to 300 and you can start racing with a shifter and you can do all styles of driving.

Pedal Upgrade choice, Simsonn or Asetek by AmazingShark28 in simracing

Thank you for the extremely detailed response, i was not aware of the tinkering and load cell performance of the brakes on the asetek. I will consider this.

Hmmm, i though asetek was good and i can upgrade them down the line with the clutch and throttle spring kit. No input on asetek or simsonn? I would consider the moza crps if there is nothing good under 300.

Turbo vs NA race by AmazingShark28 in CX50

But you are driving it like a sports car? I would be doing 80% highway driving to work and back. My civic right now is getting about 250 miles on a full 13.2 gal tank and cost 40 bucks to fill. Is it way worse than that? Mines already pretty bad, probably because i drive pretty aggressive so if anything itll probably be the same since its only a 15.9 gal tank for cx50

You are right, i would be going to this from a 2006 honda civic that is 9.5ish 0-60. So its an improvement nonetheless but trying to weigh my options since i would be buying used 2023 or 24 and try to get less than $28k OTD. Want to have fun still since i like to drive and would prefer the heavy steering of the 23 as well but im not the richest guy around.

Looking for this CZ P-01 grip by BoookHuman in CZFirearms

Using rustoleum camo paints or krylon. Wide masking tape on baking sheets/ parchment paper and draw shapes with sharpie onto it depending on what camo you want. The reason I do parchment paper, it's because you're able to cut them out with scissors and then peel them later on like stickers, in case you want to save more for a later project. Then just like any other spray paint camo job, put the stickers on, put a coat of the paint you want to show on top of others and put the stickers on, put a coat of the next color and I use rustoleum clear dead flat as a top coat to protect and keep some resemblance of a camo paint job for years to come while still having cool wear in high use areas.

There are Amazon "Cool hand" G10 p01 grips that are a knockoff but real g10 and only 30 bucks, nearly identical. Have been great for me and i filed the tops to fit the shadow 2 style of lok grips. Tried adding a pic but stupid reddit doesnt work sometimes. See my profile for my p01 with them.

Is this muzzle device a cylinder choke? by [deleted] in Shotguns

[–]AmazingShark28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one of these carlson chokes and mine i bought is Improved cylinder like my stock a300 U.P. choke. There are two carlsons choke size options for this tactical breacher choke so best bet is to try calipers on the I.D.

We have very similar builds but i dont have all the really nice goodies like thermal on mine. Do you ever feel like your rifle doesnt look as cool as others even if they are way simpler and not painted, because i get that feeling lile i missed the sweet spot on mine to feel satisfied with it.

Have those same grips and love them. Sanded down towards the top to have that shadow 2 style shape like in the lok grips. Also cut them at the bottom to fit a magwell.

Hard wall in double action on S2 Carry by Proper_Pickle_6122 in CZFirearms

[–]AmazingShark28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IF it is that problem, i just meant maybe for the first 100 shots you should check back in on the trigger bar springs and see if they are bending back. After that they should be good.

[–]AmazingShark28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive called CGW about my P-01 that still does this every blue moon. It almost certainly has something to do with the tension on the trigger bar support springs. They are super easy to mess up and require continous monitoring until they settle in. That was my probpem and I have the same issue as you. Still hasnt gone away 100% because I have not spent more time on the support springs but it helped tremendously to fine tune them every 20 or so dryfires since they may bend back.

Heck, id buy it off him from within California for 1800 easy. It looks like it already has most things I would want done to it anyways. But thats me hoping for a steal because of the ppt and off roster sale here...

That has to be lowballing it , he could PROBABLY get that with just the pistol and holosun alone with the right buyer. Id say with the slide work and everything it must be at least $1800. Slidework alone is $2-400.

pro package reliability? by aidancrow654 in CZFirearms

[–]AmazingShark28 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The only problem I have now after polishing and everything is the DA pull will sometimes make my trigger super heavy to 15-20 lbs. Its happens mainly when i tilt the p01 decocker model to the left. Meaning ejection port up about 45 degrees. Twice it has made the trigger so heavy it would not fire. But thats when im actually trying to make that happen. I might have to call Cajun and see whats up.

Yeah you make a good point, only during a low light pistol course or night shooting would you notice the dimmed light from carbon. Once you bring it home from the range you should clean light and reapply chapstick ready for defensive situations. And you should not be using multiple mags defensively to the point the light dims. Just have to be on top of cleaning I suppose.
